HI all,

How to check the status of your OWP application?

good question. I can't link the app using the receipt number.

To everyone:
Does CIC send a different AOR for OWP? Or do OWPs just magically appear in the mail? ;)

Applied for Police Check 18 June received email confirming it had been completed and posted 20 June and arrived in Canada today. Thank you Australia Post. Will be posting it away tomorrow when I go to work.

Was taking about 3- 3 1/2 months to be able to link online paper application for OWP. Not sure if that has sped up at all. If you look earlier in the thread there is specific details about linking. Remember you are checking for work permit, not family sponsorship. Main thing was putting only passport details or other details - not both. Just going on memory here sorry.

Just got my application sent back today :(( missing one signature, not a good sign but at least i saw a stamp on my sponsor paper not sure what it is . Hopefully everything is fine now

what is your time line? when did u send application and AOR?

I submitted on may 31 and it came to CIC office on june 2 and got my application back today june 29 which mean they looked at my application just few days after that then saw i missed signature and sent back 18 bussiness days. Hopefully they do it fast , can't risk any more return ;(

Booked my medical upfront for next fri now I have a file number....may as well do it now rather than wait for the email requesting it and holding things up. $400 plus a picture fee...ouch! I asked for the breakdown...$200 for the doctor, $100 for the lab results, $100 for the x-rays...but they do e-medical and to go anywhere else would cost more in travel and lost time..so guess suck it up, buttercup!

That's correct, I was also planning to do but it cost 350$ minimum. Now, I am thinking to wait, just to avoid contradiction as I have seen many time you need to re-do.

I keep reading about people not having the medicals match up if they do it up-front..this is a concern for me, once I do the upfront medical how do I (or the doctor) submit the results to ensure they match with my application? I assumed now my application has a File number the doctor could use that as a reference when he sent it. But reading about e-medical it appears CIC send out a barcoded form?

Wow, that is a lot of money.

We did our medical this week. It cost us CAD$223.00 ($160.00 for Doctor, $40.00 for chest x-ray and $23.00 for blood work). The Doctor said that the e-medical will be sent to CIC in 2 weeks. Since we did not have the principal applicant UCI we used the UCI on the extension of stay document.

All we needed was passport, another photo ID and the money. The doctor took her own photograph.

Still patiently waiting for our OWP.

It's inland application, this thread is for "Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline"

That's so fast for AOR2. :o

We have not received AOR2 yet and ours was sent received on 30 March, 2016.

Wouldn't the principal applicant be me?...the person being sponsored?...I know my UCI!
