How to check the status of your OWP application?
To everyone:
Does CIC send a different AOR for OWP? Or do OWPs just magically appear in the mail?

Was taking about 3- 3 1/2 months to be able to link online paper application for OWP. Not sure if that has sped up at all. If you look earlier in the thread there is specific details about linking. Remember you are checking for work permit, not family sponsorship. Main thing was putting only passport details or other details - not both. Just going on memory here sorry.Z7J said:good question. That's correct, I was also planning to do but it cost 350$ minimum. Now, I am thinking to wait, just to avoid contradiction as I have seen many time you need to re-do.CanadianAlien said:Booked my medical upfront for next fri now I have a file number....may as well do it now rather than wait for the email requesting it and holding things up. $400 plus a picture fee...ouch! I asked for the breakdown...$200 for the doctor, $100 for the lab results, $100 for the x-rays...but they do e-medical and to go anywhere else would cost more in travel and lost time..so guess suck it up, buttercup!
Candianalien , I share almost the same dates as you :CanadianAlien said:Just this second got my AOR 2..

Wish all the candidates get through quickly...all the best!
It's inland application, this thread is for "Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline"browning911 said:Are you applying inland or outland?
Wouldn't the principal applicant be me?...the person being sponsored?...I know my UCI!browning911 said:Wow, that is a lot of money.
We did our medical this week. It cost us CAD$223.00 ($160.00 for Doctor, $40.00 for chest x-ray and $23.00 for blood work). The Doctor the e-medical said it will be sent to CIC in 2 weeks. Since we did not have the principal applicant UCI so we used the UCI on the extension of stay document.
All we needed was passport, another photo ID and the money. The doctor took her own photograph.
Still patiently waiting for our OWP.
