I love Winterpeg! I was lucky enough to visit it in 2007. The air is so dry there that you feel much less the cold than in Quebec city. I truly henjoyed my time there, that's a wonderful city for the curling world!

it's really good here especially the outdoor activities and the cost of living is not that high. it's just the winter season is hard

We're going to go to Vegas for a few days. Got a wedding there to attend, might as well make a big trip of it...

WEGAS!

You know, I did see the little chapels everywhere in the "resort" we stayed at and their little connecting malls....

@GuyanaGirl I just recalled working up in your neck of the woods ... mmmm Almadina

I feel bad for you. I do know how you feel. For years now, the young females from former Soviet states bonding with men in Canada have been suspect to CIC as well. They have a disparate number of females to males in the former Soviet states. They are always very suspect.

So much so, that my wife was terrified to even ask for a Visitor visa... She read the forums, you see... They claimed < 1% chance of having a Visitor visa approved at that time (2013).

She definitely got a grilling at the border, but despite those interactions, there was no problems otherwise. It's only temporary. You just got caught up in the Trumpudrama. Indeed, you will land soon enough :)

I guess you might not know -- but 'muricans crashed CIC's web servers the night of the election and the day following. There were many checking into how to immigrate. Something like a 17,000% increase in load from any other time in history. > 100,000 page requests a minute. It took services down for nearly 24hrs.

Trumpudrama!! Love it. You should copyright that.

I'm glad your wife made it in successfully in the end. I met my Canadian husband in Boston back in 2012. In 2013 we lived in Boston and were affected by craziness of the Marathon bombing (city on lockdown for 2 days...so much fear...worry). That's when he decided it was time to move back home to NS. We continued dating, with me doing the bulk of the travel because he started his own business, a yoga studio, upon moving back. Every time I'd cross the border I'd get butterflies! Anyways...will be thrilled to see this come to a close.

No... no I won't copyright that. I hope this chapter (The Trump 'Years') go away soon. I hope he claims the "Fastest President In History" award and goes back to TV!

That's terrible! You were living in Boston during that time??? Can you blame him for wanting to return to NS??? I don't have any doubts that it will be done soon. When they ask for more proofs, the bulk of the wait is over -- they've touched your file! Once they touch them, it tends to move along quicker :).

I am overhearing some very, very interesting information right now. Can't discuss in public format. I will not confirm or deny the existence of said information, either.

Did anyone hear about the US Navy Destroyer that collided with the container ship in the Sea of Japan?

yes, I saw that news, there were something like 7 people missing. But I did not read anything new on that
