I called, as well as a CSE. No answer on the CSE, and the call centre is still urging me not to do anything about the PCC yet, until we get an answer from the agents with respect to:
- Is it there with the package we sent?
- If not, where did it go?
- If it is, is it still valid, or do they infact need one.
Our problem here is that we submitted the original, no copy. So to get another would require trying to encourage the Russian consulate in Toronto to want to actually *do work* (usually, in Russia this requires a bribe) and to process a request for a new PCC. This can take 30 days if you were in the country. This means we might be short on time to meet the 60 day limit. The call centre seems to think that 60 days stopped ticking when we called and put in a CSE about it. I won't hold my breath. So, we are waiting now for the Consular office in Toronto to send it overseas to get re-generated and officially translated.
At that point, we will Xpresspost (with signature required) to Vegreville as requested, and I will submit a CSE with a pdf copy of the same to make sure they don't lose it again.
