Yes ma'am. That's where they are evaluated, along with Background, Criminality, and Medicals.

Medicals are submitted by the PA, so they are not usually a hold up (but the PA would know for sure they are).

Criminality, they take the PCC(s) and what the RCMP has delivered (from interpol, etc). Generally less than a week.

Background, they start once they have the paperwork. They also use Background to complete AIP (as they have to be able to verify the statements made, to decide if the PA is a member of the Family class or not).

that only leaves Security. This and Criminality are completed by outside organizations and partners. Considering Criminality is usually pretty quick, that can only leave security.

Yes, it is the security clearances that's the hold up - consistent with what we see in the GCMS notes... We did travel a number of countries in Europe for our honeymoon... but not any of the sensitive countries... hmm...

Np. Exactly. GCMS notes will elude to it (s.21 or s.15 .... can't remember ... on the upper right hand corner of one of the pages). Unless they have totally changed when or how Security is being conducted, that's how all cases lately work. They do request them early, but they take a long time to complete.

So last week i tried painting the fender on my suv.
I watched a few videos on youtube. . . The guys in the videos didnt look like no geeks nor scientists.. .
So i said to myself. . . "What the heck, if they can paint i should be able to"
Went out n bought a new CHEAP paint gun
The first warning said , dont exceed 50 psi. . . Well i hooked it up , mixed my black paint then strained it in the gun.
Turn my compressor on. . . Closed the gun and attached the pressure hose. . .
Then paint started to leak from a few connection on the gun. .
So i thought to myself
I will just unhook the air and fixed it,
Well what i didnt know, was, when i unhook the hose, the pressure in the gun would come gushing out
Well it did,lol along with the paint. . All over me
Moral of the story
Plenty to enjoy while we wait. . .
Am going to go try again,

This has become common. The problem is, people start dying once they are born. Therefore, life itself, is a pre-existing condition.

Don't get me wrong.... ACA definitely had it's flaws... But until they can accept that their taxes will go up, and they will be (constantly) paying collectively for anyone else's condition(s), it never will be perfect. So, to Bait and Switch (B&S) them out of ANY healthcare is disgusting.

I watched a townhall where a lady showed a picture of her $3mil daughter... who has Leukemia. A man, from the crowd, lost his mind over it and ended up putting money in the rep's pocket and demanded that he take that and give it to the woman to help her kid.

I know that taxes will go up, etc. I get that and I hope the Americans get that. But how can one of the richest countries in the world not see that they owe their citizens this. If they want to perfect it come to Canada/UK. While ours is not perfect it would be better than theirs. God I love Canada and Canadians. They just get "it'.

I know that taxes will go up, etc. I get that and I hope the Americans get that. But how can one of the richest countries in the world not see that they owe their citizens this. If they want to perfect it come to Canada/UK. While ours is not perfect it would be better than theirs. God I love Canada and Canadians. They just get "it'.

Thanks profiler, this is helpful. I just went over our GCMS notes again, I can see the VO's been checking the security clearance results, but it was still not started as of October 2016... so assuming they started after that, it's been going for less than 8 months... I don't see labels like s.21 or s.15 though, getting this all under History > Application and History > Activity.

Hi all!

Yesterday I found out that CIC requires more proof of our relationship—specifically regarding cohabitation. Has anyone else had documents requested with specificity to this? We do not have joint bank accounts or a mortgage/lease together since we live in the family house his grandfather built. I'm not sure this is overkill, but here's what I'm gathering to prove that both he and I live at the same address:

• Dental insurance plan (has both our names on it)
• Pet insurance plan (lol has both our names and dogs' names on it)
• Cell phone bill (its in my name but his phone number on record is a part of the plan)
• Property tax bill for my husband's biz location (bills to our home address)
• Property tax bill for land I own next door to our house (bills to our home address)
• Orders from amazon.com and other online retailers of home stuff I ordered and had shipped to our home address
• Affadavit/letter from his mom and dad who live with us during the summer months at the family house attesting to the genuine nature of our relationship and cohabitation.
• Christmas cards sent to him and I with both of our names on it, personal affections, and date (last christmas 2016)
• Photo copy of his drivers license with current home address

Yeah that's possible. They probably dispatched the request to start them, but it likely didn't happen until a little later. s.## is the ATIP officer telling you they have redacted parts of the notes due to (s)ection ##.

So, section 21 (s.21) reads:
"
Operations of Government
Advice, etc.

• 21 (1) The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains
  
  • (a) advice or recommendations developed by or for a government institution or a minister of the Crown,
    
    
  • (b) an account of consultations or deliberations in which directors, officers or employees of a government institution, a minister of the Crown or the staff of a minister participate,
    
    
  • (c) positions or plans developed for the purpose of negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the Government of Canada and considerations relating thereto, or

So, that will be then they have redacted the results. s.15 reads:

So, s.15 will be them hiding who they are talking to, to complete the Security check. And any correspondence they have had regarding it.

Establish the Sponsor's address with Canadian ID. Once they have that, then you can show everything (anything) that the Principle Applicant has had mailed to them as proof. Property Tax bills won't matter unless they state both of you. ID is great (if you both have DL's, for example).

Establish the Sponsor's address with Canadian ID. Once they have that, then you can show everything (anything) that the Principle Applicant has had mailed to them as proof. Property Tax bills won't matter unless they state both of you. ID is great (if you both have DL's, for example).

He does have a driver's license with our address on it, but there are very few accounts we have together. I don't have a driver's license here yet (they would require a canadian passport/work permit /pr card.)
