If i had found this forum sooner I would have saved myself about 5K canadian and done it myself. Geez louise.

I saw a lawyer for 1 hours consult, to ask about the specific mechanics of how all of this wires up. And specific questions to our case. They confirmed we were the type of case that inland was brought in for. Oh and we can help you with all of this, write letters for CBSA, be up late to answer if they call, etc.

$13,000.
Let that sink in for a minute...

Then two months later they asked when I was going to fill out the paperwork with them...

Hey guys, just another update... CIC called me again today (saying my medical test expire on Thurdsay) and she wants to get me in ASAP to land, so I don't have to do them again. So I am landing tomorrow:D
Congratulations!

You know.... I think the very idea of not already paying the RPRF (or at least urging a client to) is kinda bad.

See, in this case, and I am sure in many others, the client gets excited that they are invited to land, but oh wait, another fee! I believe they should almost force you (unless there is some hardship) to pay the fee upfront! Then you can just enjoy the anxiety of waiting, and the thrill when it's over...

$0.05

I think not paying the fee when you have a representative is a way for them to keep billing you. I bet Botengcoke would have to pay him more if he paid the fee on his behalf....billible time

They bill YOU for YOU filling out the paperwork (or, answering the questions to).

I should write an app for that...

LOL.......Could you really?

Sure I could. You have the obvious "privacy" issues with storing data on devices, but negating those, ya. I almost did it like 3 or 4 times now...

Thank you and the rest of the group for answering everyone's questions and giving great advice.... thought I was going to have a super duper day, but I failed my G test this morning... But I don't even care will take it again... never ever want to apply for PR again...lol

It's like a bicycle. Don't let the examiner get you down.. get yourself ready and take it again! Though avoid Guelph. They have tricky intersections they test you on (with Railways through the middle).

Depending where you are, Kitchener was an easy testing experience.

Thank you for all your

It is a super duper day......you got a Landing appointment and did not even have to do a countdown to landing day.

You can redo test after your landing appointment.....LOL

@browning911 consider that much of the paperwork is repetitive:
Name, Address, DOB, COB, Passport #, etc etc.

Adding to that, any form specific questions can be added to the data entered, click a button, download a zip with your entire application-set of PDF's

@botengcoke your priority is to reschedule an appointment and pay the RPRF, but after you get the PR, I would suggest to have a meeting with your representative, that he shows you what kind of technical problem he had. If he cannot show, then I would complain to http://iccrc-crcic.info/
IMHO, this is an unforgivable mistake from a representative.

Considering they could just dismiss the file as "no longer interested". If botengcoke had not poked to find out, how long would that have gone "un-noticed"? Seriously, that smells like fraud to me. Extreme negligence for sure, considering the reps are supposed to be licensed...

If it was me, I would just let the rep answer to the ICCRC-CRCIC. But for sure, some corrective action is indicated !

I wonder what it is lately with absolute crap from reps.

If I am paying someone to represent me, they'd better tell me straight if my case has vulnerabilities, or requires shoring up in specific areas. I expect they would also be on top of communications (you know, Outlook has a rule-engine that lets you automagically forward specific emails to specific people... true story!), and would actually call me to check up on me. That's where you can pick up upsells, like, you know, filling out OWP paperwork AGAIN....

I just... I just don't get it. It's really the reason why I won't ever consult. Ever. Help out on a forum, sure. Maybe write an app for paperwork. But never ever, ever do I want to be "linked" to that cesspool...
