Got the same letter from CIC asking for police clearances - difference is, we've included one (PH) but we didn't realize we'll be needing one from the USA.

My question is, when we send the FBI clearance, do we just put a note/letter stating that the other has been sent with the original app?

Yes and if you have a copy of it, attach it. Always keep a copy for yourself just in case.

I refuse to believe that they have lost all of our PCC and we all have to get new ones. My letter also said "As per our records, you have not submitted the required police certificates from the country(ies) listed below: ..." Which sounds scary, but I think is just boilerplate text. When I sent a copy of the one they requested and a letter explaining (by post) I eventually got a letter back from CIC saying "This acknowledges receipt of the requested information or documentation detailed in a recent request...blah blah blah." I think that is fine.

Guys, if you go back through the thread...the last bunch who got bulk processed got the SAME document request letter, they just sent CSE in saying it was in the file.
I have a feeling this is just IRCC dotting their I's and crossing their T's making sure everything is there prior to processing, the wording of the letter even states "if you have not already done so..."

While I am not encouraging anyone to follow my lead, I have sent a CSE in stating it is in the file, no other documents just the original letter they sent to me and an email stating the PCC is there...I should get a response by the 26th August or the 29th at the absolute latest. I will update with their answer then.

In my case I know even if the answer is in the negative, I would still have enough time to comply with the request.

Pedropil, even though you are mailing it I would still send a case specific enquiry and let them know that it was sent with the application and attach the copy.

I've noticed something interesting on the timeline, first 50ish applicants this year have had their AIP in about 180-130 days, while for the next few month cases the period decreased up to 100 days. Not to mention in 2015 the average was about 200 days!!! Also, they reduced the time for the AOR in some new cases from 80-30 days to less than a month.

I don't wanna get my hopes up, but as Canad1anAl1en said, "take me..take me!" ;D

yes, I did notice that the AORs are being received faster than ever before.

However, there appears to have been a 'freeze'since 13 July 2016 on the SA/AIPs. Hoping they are processing in the back-end and would suddenly issue SA/AIP notices in bulk.

They do issue them in batches, see the June 10 and June 29 second AORs; but since then no batches, just random... I myself will try not to upset the gods and be thankful that at least I can sleep better at night now that I know they won't return my file.

Update, Update: While I am trying to be adamant about not checking any processing status sites anymore, I did, however, just receive a MyCiC update. Apparently they are starting to work on my Police Record Checks.

I have lived in a lot of different countries and had to send in quite a few, and the one from my home country was just about to expire when I sent my application in in February (Aug 28 Police Certificate, left my home country September 9th, app sent in February 17th). Sooo, I will let people worried about their certificates know as soon as I hear more from CIC. Crossing fingers they won't request a new one.

I've seen a lot of people here saying that they had their police records checked around the expiration date. My guess is that if you have a straightforward app with no major issues they will start working on that to avoid any future delays. So I would say it's a great news! I got the same message about my wife's PCC. I called the CIC and they tried to look into it. Also could not find any trace of the message sent. They told me not to do anything until they tried to look into the email and the file (as her PCC original was also sent in). We have already made an appointment with the consulate to get another PCC, in the case that they cannot seem to find it.
