Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Hopefully this should be an easy question to answer. I've seen a lot of people have received notification via the CIC website that they have been granted an OWP. I was wondering if when this happens I will receive email notification (just as I did with AOR) so I don't feel like I have to check my status every day!

Cic will send you an email. It s much faster than my cic and ecas, they dont update then regularly so definately you ll find an email or a letter in the mail

hi does anyone know how to get confirmation from CPC that they get paper i sent? I sent fingerprints paper to them but dont know how to let them know it's there other than canada post tracking , thanks

Hi guys our application was recieved November 3rd with OWP and we got yesterday OWP approval

You are overdue and should contact cic. As long as you had a valid visitor status when you applied, you should have recieved it within around 4 months time.

Hi Simpsol i did call and spoke with an agent 2 weeks ago and she said i am under implied status and it shouldnt take this long, she will send a message to the agent in Mississauga.The problem i am having now is my workplace is really on me about this and i am now worried i may loose my job if i dont receive it soon.

Just got the medical request. Will do it next Monday. But have not received any sponsor approval................

Hey Ravi, you really need to start bugging CIC alot more about this....this is wayyyy over due!
Did you receive AOR yet?

Also...you say you are working now... Did you have a Work permit before applying for this OWP?

By the way, my husband and I went to US and China twice during the whole application process. We don't have SA yet.

Had no problem to entry the border in Vancouver. When we went back from US, they didn't look at our passport..............
When back from China, the officer just glanced at our passport and asked if we are a couple and have we applied for PR, then let us go.

My husband has the OWP issued by PR apps as well as visitor visa valid for 10 years.

So no need to worry about going back if you are in the same situation.

Hi all
Anybody got response from RCMP for their fingerprints? How long did they take after you submitted your fingerprints?
I got it done in Mississauga and they told me it can take 10 days to 120 days for RCMP to respond.
But CIC needs it within 30 days as per their email.

I received a suggestion from a friend that I should convert my TR to 'Work Visa' after receiving my OWP.#

Does anyone know if that is a valid suggestion?
