The delay is normal.Sam8119 said:Hi Profiler:
I got a new GCMS note today. It says the file beings to SPR group (not sure what that means). It says in progress-SPR.
Security and criminality in progress it says. They have 19 activities but activity 16 says biographic submit delayed.
Now where should I look for the pertinent information to get an idea of what actually is going on?
Also, I have some questions regarding my new GCMS notes:
It says two incoming correspondence by Montreal call centre:
Incoming correspondence1
Client: PA with my UCI number (the applicant)
Item: Client enquiry
Comment(s) Item provided for: CPC-M marriage certificate
Status cancelled
Via: Webform
Also says
Name: ClentEmail.msg
Date: 2016/10/20
Incoming correspondence 3:
same date same call centre
Says call centre tier 3 update file
Status: cancelled
status updated: 2016/10/19
Thanks again for your much valued reply.

Yeah $490. You have time, though. Pay after Christmas. You bet, we are all here for support.beate1961 said:I guess my hubby and I will have to be patient then as we did not pay the RPRF upfront..Dang! Too close to Christmas.. I think the fees are 490, right? Not quite sure about the medical.. Gotta look it up.
Anyhow, we just got our second AOR, tried to enter it in the spreadsheet, alas it did not work. As you mentioned before no info yet on ECAS as it has not been processed. And yes, our number has an F. i was about to ask, but you answered it already..
Profiler, thanks for all your help and wishing you much better weather. We were in a deep freeze but finally are up to 2 C. yay!
Application number is best...Benlie said:YOU know what if my sponsor is canadian by birth so which UCI should i use? I can't log in ecas using UCI they gave me so i don't know what happen thanks
I certainly will, otherwise Kraft Dinner will be on the menu i wish I would have known about his forum before I applied. I felt quite overwhelmed and terribly anxious. But, it's all good now!profiler said:Yeah $490. You have time, though. Pay after Christmas. You bet, we are all here for support.
2*C... Yeah we are supposed to have that Christmas Day!
is it ok to apply for visitors visa within canada? my current multiple entry visitor visa is already expired.polarvolcano said:I have left and returned multiple times while my application has been in process on while on a multiple entry TRV and have entered at YVR, YYC, YUL, and YYZ without any problems. I currently have a study permit, but the same rules apply to a visitor. At the border, one of the things CBSA is trying to assess whether or not you intend to abide by the conditions of your visa, which means leaving the country before you overstay. I seem to be the only voice on here advocating travel while the application is in process, so please take this advice with a grain of salt as profiler says. In my opinion, I think it is wrong to assume that you are effectively trapped in Canada while the process is ongoing and would not take it as a reason to miss whatever obligation you have to attend to back home.
Look up 'dual intent' to brief yourself on what they are looking for when you cross the border back in to Canada.
Yes, I had the same problem, but was just able to access it again!mskoalified said:Also, is anyone else unable to log into/can't view status on the CIC website? Hubby said he's getting errors.

My understanding is that you can apply for TRV from within Canada if you have either a valid work permit or study permit.pedropil said:is it ok to apply for visitors visa within canada? my current multiple entry visitor visa is already expired.

Hi Sam,Sam8119 said:Hi Guys,
Just called a CIC agent to ask him about a mistake in GCMS notes. Now what he told me is that only the new applications (After Dec 7) are going through 12 Mo timeline, but its apparently an entire different process compared to the old applications which are still under that 26 month official time line. Can anyone shed any light on this? Did others get similar info from them? Then I wonder what the minister told about FIFO system does not hold true?
