From the US. I read that there are third party places that can do it quicker so I'm gonna see if there are any nearby that we can get to. What does putting a trace on it mean?profiler said:
I love how their emails say you have 60 days to respond to their request and if you don't then they can terminate your application. But they have no way to trace whether they even sent you a request for the information, but it's still your fault that you don't receive it. What a system!

I do this for EVERYTHING I send CIC. I also send them a CSE + original via courier (forcing them to acknowledge both). Then it becomes a 'them' problem.
As for losing the PCC, on August 10 we demanded they perform a trace on the document we submitted. The call centre did tell us they located the original PCC (and thanked us for updating the original).
I just checked the spreadsheet and it seems like they are just finishing up summer 2015 applicants and some october 2015 ones so that is a good sign. Doesn't seem like any of the 2016 applicants received anything other than OWP.
not sure what your original question was asking, if you meant "a month" to get sponsor approval, it has been way longer than that for most, over a year for most it seems, hopefully that is changing now, our application was received going on 9 months now and last status still not even started the sponsor approval part and that is the first step they need to do I thinkbeate1961 said:

Did you receive the request on August 10th? That was the exact same day we "received" the PCC request as well. I guess they send them out in batches.profiler said:

I was referring to checking our status on their website which I was not able to do! I looked at the spreadsheet as well and was surprised how far behind they were.Although I have seen some applicants that got their SA within 3 months..I can very well imagine how frustrated you must be.I am also hoping it will changevolkov said:

ah ok, the CIC websites actually tend to add to our frustrations, nothing like checking your status on the site every 2nd day for the last 8 months and it never changes (actually until last week when it actually changed for once, they took off a couple of lines of information! lol)beate1961 said:

at least we got the OWP, that took almost 4 months but all of the sudden just arrived, we had tried to find out info online and even called the call centre on it but there was zero information anywhere until it just magically showed up in the mail.... so I think maybe the same will be the case with PR, we won't hear anything or be able to find out anything really useful until it magically shows up approved all of the sudden some day

I have almost forgot whole application after got OWP and got back to work.. But started today to think about it. How long it usually takes to get SA or some other step after AOR? I sent my application end of April and got OWP 4 months later, but haven't heard anything from CIC since then. Should I be worried? Mycic shows only they're doing security but nothing else.

I would send any mail to them with a tracking number or courier, then you know for sure if they received it or not..With regards to checking your status I know that your local MP can check it for you and they have to release that info.
What I noticed on my AOR is that they addressed me by my old surname.. What on earth?? i have been married for 4 1/2 years and I filled out everything with my correct name..Sigh..
