No envelopes at all for us. Just 3 stacks of paper with heavy duty black paperclips and an envelope of original photos and passport pics..

Ours was here June 27.

Important to remember, CIC isn't a FIFO. Don't worry, it's coming soon You should apply for work already! :).

So what you're saying is stop trying to frantically link the OWP application and stop panicking that it can't locate the application...ok I'll put my inhaler away now ??? Lol

Well the applicant is my husband. I work with a Software company in Waterloo area, it's amazing I haven't started checking the application status daily given that I sit in front of my computer all day.

Interesting, how funny will it be if we were at the same company! Well I'm not in development (I wish), I'm more in The "contracts and support" side of things.

I'll relax....I'm usually quite calm...but the methodical side of me is going crazy.

I'm in higher ed now. But worked for a decade in random (about 6) dev houses in the area. Always in dev though -- except two years where I also taught...

No, that's just the remains of Salty Tuesday's that have spread themselves across the week... and yeah even still in higher ed (still dev, just snottier "clients"), dev's are brash and abrasive ;)

So, accept my blanket apology now ;)

Good. That will take you far :).

OK, so your partner's OWP should be issued and arrive any day now. I was just looking at the spreadsheet and if I was to guess, it would be in under a week. Though they say not to complain before 4 months -- they are usually pretty close to 4 months delivery.

So, not to worry.

And you mentioned you haven't started checking during the day. Don't worry, that will come. I keep a feedreeder open that reads canadavisa.com too. If something interesting comes up I respond to it. Now-a-days we just let myCIC notify us visa email if there is anything worth noting...

@profilered does your wife have Ohio now we all have our moments a little cuckoo moments

Hey guys, I was finally able to log into mycic using the space for birth city trick and I am seeing the below. So it seems they have not started reviewing for eligibility. Shouldn't that part be first or is background usually first? Does this basically mean they haven't really done anything?

Application/profile status: Open
Review of eligibility: Not Started
Review of medical results: Not needed at this time
Review of submitted documents:
Scheduling an interview: Not Needed at this time
A Background check is needed: In Progress
Final Decision: Not Started

Hello everyone. My wife (the sponsor) received an email saying

Subject: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada - Communication to client/Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada - Communication auprès de la clientèle - Inland CSQ Request

This confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner In
Canada Class was received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 11/08/2016
on behalf of the following family member(s): my name

This is obviously a CSQ request. Is it also considered as AOR2?

Could you please enlighten me.

Thanks a lot

Did you get any other information on the body of the email or an attachment that told you how to get the CSQ, other than the subject line?

Yeah and here I appear to be very behind as well (March 2 application):

Sponsorship Side:
We received your application to sponsor YOUR AWESOME WIFE on March 2, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 13, 2016.
We started processing your application on May 28, 2016.

PR Side:
We received YOUR AWESOME WIFE's application for permanent residence on March 2, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

Yet we also have (according to our MP) Security and Criminality underway. With that in mind, that indicates that not only have we (and polarvolcano) have passed step 1 and we are onto step 2: admissibility check; just before the completion of the application. Step 2 also is where Medical is assessed (apparently).

How do you know they are working on admissibility checks? Does MyCIC show you that?

profiler, did you do the medical on your own without it being requested? Also how did you get your MP involved?
