She has a 1.5hr stop over in Munich, and they've not departed yet! It's now officially listed as delayed in flightaware...

I hope her next flight is in the same terminal, but yes airline always try make sure their customer do not miss their connection.
It's good that with nowadays technology, in few hours you'll be able to video chat with her. That makes the distance much easier to live.
Can she come back now?? Who will make my lunch???
Yeah Telus has a "reasonable" roam package that lets her use her phone as she can here in 130 countries...and when it's detected in Canada again, the roam stops... $10 a day -- but here she has unlimited text and talk..and gigs of data... Oh and there is a cap at $100 for the roam...so $100 all said.
Can I pick her up yet???

Edit: should mention, she'll be in Moscow by 08h45 tomorrow am. So it's a game of getting to sleep while checking flight aware...
They buzzed the CNTower and flew over Lake Ontario... I'm pretty jealous..

I know what you mean! And like you, I'm always checking flight aware when my wife had to fly or when her family is coming. Unfortunately, there is usually no data over Iran, flight aware gives scheduled trajectory until it's outside iran.
She might not have much time for that, but as far as I remember, there was free WiFi in Frankfurt airport.
Oh ya, just remembered Munich on this way... Frankfurt on the way back. I don't know about Munich airport....
She isn't tech savvy. So roaming data is a benefit here
.Yeah flight aware is a life saver. It used to be Russian flights would not transmit over Russia....though last year Air France did...maybe the Lufthansa flight tomorrow will be the same!
She has text and voice and promised to advise when she was on the ground again...so I'll try to let these people do their job, and relax....
Btw flight aware is a cool tool...there is one for naval ships too....

Here is another topic of discussion. You know we have these Haitian refugees in Montreal now (thanks to Mr Trump). Montreal immigration people are really working on this issue. Do you think it would have any impact on landing appointments? Or this case would be taken care of completely separately. Cause a lot of officers working on this thing. I was just wondering since I have nothing to do but just wait.

After the second stage of approval... you mean you got a decision made letter already? Or what do you mean by "after the second stage of approval"?
If you got a DM letter, then, it all depends on your location. Montreal and Etobicoke are the busiest/slowest offices to give landing appointments. But 8 weeks is about the maximum to get the landing appointment letter, so If you got your DM letter 2 months ago, I would recommend to call CIC.
As @sylvain1 eluded to, the "2nd stage" is technically the end of the process. If you are referring to the AIP letter (where it says you are eligible to apply), that's actually the end of the 1st stage.
Continuing that thought, if you are technically in the 2nd stage now, it's likely either medical or a security clearance that is holding you up.
