Another update! Checked MyCIC and it says "You passed the medical exam." Wow one update from another! keep it comin CIC! Hope landing schedule will be sent today. And my girlfriend's medicals have already expired in April this year so what a relief not going to redo medicals

Do a check in ECAS again (if not today, tomorrow). You'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

I don't want to jinx you. But I suspect they've already finished processing. You can try ECAS now (and check for a DM), or if you are brave and have time to kill, try calling and asking for a case update (in Stage 2 they have to finish Criminality, Security, and Medical). I am assuming they are done and will tell you so, but be sure to ask for the status on the Security check (that one can delay you).

Yeah! ill probably do that once they dont send more updates. And I will keep in mind about Security Check. We are glad with the speed of things going on right now. Thank you very much Profiler for your insights!

It makes no sense to me to take them -- she paid for them! Are they worried that she would start manufacturing fake ones or something??

In our case, they didn't even ask. It was literally:
- Take passport; make funny comment WRT it's origin. Ask us to sit.
- Call us up and give back passport.
- Validate COPR details.
- Me begging to give them my ID -- because they didn't even pay attention to me even being there....bastards....
- Answer me, these questions 3, if the other side ye shall see (Monty Python!).
- Sign, date, questions and answers. Selfies with the Canadian flag, then leave.

I believe she is binge-CanadaVisa-ing. We generated 10 or so pages since she went to land yesterday.... she is getting caught up (note the messages above ).

So, looking at the time, I'd say, "Houston, Mr @browning911 has landed."

BUT -- I don't have any evidence to prove this theory....

Yes, he landed. We were almost late (2:55 p.m.). Grrr don't ask.

When we finally got into the building there was a desk with two people and the lady said, " Go to him (pointing at the gentleman working with her) he needs something to do". He asked for the landing letter and for my hubby's name. He made a joke about the grammar (Anytime between 3:00 p.m.) and give us a number.

I saw all those people sitting there and was thinking this will take a while since our assigned number was D339 and the number on the display was at D331. Perhaps they were there for other types of interviews.

When our number came up on the display we went to the assigned booth and this blonde lady had a huge smile. She asked for the landing appointment letter then she looked at her list for his name and then requested his passport and DL. She confirmed his address. Then she asked f I was his spouse and I said yes and she told me about the 36 month support obligation. Then she asked when about his last entry date and the three questions (crime, refused entry, dependents). She asked for one photo and made him sign two COPR copies after checking it. She gave us a copy of the COPR and attached the photo to the one she was keeping and informed that the card would be mailed in 8-10 weeks. She asked if hubby had a health card and told we were still waiting to receive it. She said we should call and let them know hubby was now a permanent resident. She also mentioned that we should not lose the COPR. She also told us that Service Ontario office was in the same building and they would be closing shortly. She said it was great having such a nice couple as her last customers and congratulated him on his PR. We went to the Service Ontario and got the permanent PR. Then we headed home.
