That is pretty fast compared to the previous process. Any tips you can share on what you sent them for relationship support material???
We met in South Korea at university, so we sent photos of our time together in Korea, photos of our trips together in China and Canada, then photos of our wedding in Canada which included parents visiting from China.
We also sent joint bank account, separate phone bills but show the same address, just before applying we signed up for the cheapest life insurance we can find which is around $10 a month and submitted that. It shows the beneficiary as the spouse.
Under the joint ownership of residential property or residential leases part, instead of submitting those things, because we did not have one as we are living with my parents, I got my parents to write a statutory declaration saying we live with them and that our relationship is genuine and they signed it in front of the lawyer who then put their seal on it. We didn't get asked for additional documentation so I assume that worked.
Also, I printed out my updated martial status with the CRA from the CRA website and also printed out the page that showed that I updated my CRA banking info to our joint account.
Scanned a copy of my Mastercard and the supplementary card that I had issued under her name. Which helps show that I support her in Canada.
Printed out snapshots of our facebook walls of people congratulating us on certain milestones in our relationship.
Scanned party invitations mailed to us that shows we live at the same address.
