My fingerprints need to be redone for the FBI check. The only thing remaining for my application to be approved are these results, so I am looking to get it redone as soon as possible.

Can I use a FBI channeler? If yes, does anyone know the fastest one?

you can do your fingerprinting in the Commissionaires, They are good on that. and also print and bring the standard finger print form (FD-258)

There is a white windowed envelope here with "Canada" in yuuge letters in it addressed to my wife. "Case Processing Centre Sydney" visible through the window with what is obviously a "Get into Canada, free" card inside...

Anyway updates: Chinese consulate is being a pain in the arse... refuse to give a timeline for my sister's passport (because my sister has not been in China since the age of 2 so they "can't" easily verify her..meaning they are not nice to expat ). 2 long months have passed since we applied to renew it. Therefore we requested a waiver from CIC for the passport requirement or give additional time to wait for the slowpoke consulate. They approved the waiver and now we see Decision made on the sponsor side.... good or bad..time will tell

I applied June 27th, 2016.

They requested additional proof of relationship, medical, police and FBI checks in May.

Everything but the police and FBI have been submitted.

I received an email today stating I have been approved as a permanent resident and will receive final confirmation once the FBI and police check have been received.

The letter also stated that I could now apply for an OWP if I had not already. I already did when my initial application was submitted in 2016.

Does this mean I will get my OWP in the mail shortly? The FBI check is going to probably be 2 to 3 months still.

Edit: I was out of status when I applied, but I don't believe that effects the OWP at this stage of the application.

When I logged into my cic a/c it's says
We r reviewing your eligibility ..
Additional docs. Received .
Passed medical exams .
You dn't require an interview.
We dn't need your fingerprints.
We r processing your background checks.
Once final decision made will contact you.
Is someone expain what does it mean.
Decision made on my application ???

Decision made today on ECAS! Applied 2016/6/3, SA 2017/6/12, redid medical 2017/6/16.
MyCIC just shows "you passed the medical exam'.
Looking forward to the final approval message and landing!

Hello,
I am December 2015 applicant, my application was transferred to Etobicoke Office back there on May 15th.

We tried to get back to our MP but they are not responding to either our calls or emails, however, the lady on behalf of MP assured us that she will get back to us within the week.

There is no changes on my CIC or ECAS since 2015.

SA was approved in Jan 2017, Medical done in Jan 2017 too.

However, the CIC is asking for my dependent kids (from my ex husband) Medical examination which i am unable to provide in the meantime unless I visit my home country which i cannot as I lost my status in canada as well as I need a visa for reentry.

my question how long it is going to take more for DM, as I feel to give up and cancel my application. It's been three years I am away from my kids. The stress that we are carrying is immense and if they are planning to refuse the Visa then what is the use of wasting more time???????

Long story short, I was doing some tile removal for my sister that resulted in a bad deep cut that wouldn't stop bleeding, and a dislocation of the last portion of a pinky. They had to use a torniquet at the hospital to be able to treat it (they told me they'd try that before amputation). Cutting the flow off seems to have worked.

I wouldn't have bothered, but @meaningful1 needed an expedient answer.

Awww.. Profiler so sorry to hear. Hoping it is healing well and you do not have to go back in for surgery. (Hugs)

Ouch.... I hope you'll recover well!
I have my little own story as well. We were celebrating my dad yesterday and what could be a better gift for a dad than to see his son losing consciousness and crashing on the ground? My wife thought I just died... but 10-15 seconds later, I was back! Still I was transported to the hospital in ambulance. Few hours later, I was released. Apparently it was a vasovagal syncope... nothing serious. First time of my life losing consciousness. That happened during the dinner and the worst is that didn't get any dessert!

OMG Sylvain. A what? Mrs. S and Papa Sylvain must have been horrified.

I am glad you are better and you did not get a concussion from hitting the ground.
