The only difference I see between ur case and mine is that my file went directly to London.

send to Islamabad on September 2013
file transferred to London on January 23, 2014
In progress on October 16, 2014.

My file went to London before some of the members like
Dixtro and other 1
But not get re-medical request

It is also illegal to send Pakistani passport through mail!.... I doubt n e courier service would agree to do it

The passport can be sent directly to London from Canada, no? From what I understood was that passport can not be sent in or out of Pakistan by mail.

No, the original medical was done in May, 2013.

timeline is

dec 2012. case filed
January 2013 ..aor
September 2014, re med request
ppr1 and 2 on sept 24
sent passport to Islamabad on 0ct 15
passport stamped with visa on oct 25.

some of us are waiting for 30 days after ppr 1 and 2 as instructed. i took some risk and sent passports after 2 weeks. and got it back with visa.
you can do it at your risk.

one more issue. my son was born here in pak. i applied for his proof of citizenship in Canada. i was in assumption that his paper or some travel docs will come automatically with wife visa but no. did not get anything, no instructions, nothing. I even sent my sons Pakistani passport but nothing on it or no letter of explanation.

i went i Islamabad and spoke to counselor there he told me to apply for his canadian temporary validity passport as some of guys here told me. i just had 17 days cus i came to pak to get my fam. so now i have applied it i hope i get it back before 15.

the counselor told and have promised me that he will process asap and will not put it in que, but he said he does not confirm if it would comeback by 15.
he told me the process is for 4 weeks we will try to bring down as much as possible. i had to pay the tickets and show him the itinerary, and invoice.
I hope i get it back

how long do they usually take to issue the passport like that? you think it would come back in 2 weeks? well that counselor promised to try his best, they also have my paid tickets for 15 nov. what you guys think?

No no... Pakistani passport still needs to go Islamabad as they are still stamping the visas there.... that's wut PPR2 will instruct u to do so u have to go back to pak n send it....

yes you can send it. you cannot send anything like that via mail to pak. but if your in canada and your spouse is in canada, you can send it to london. no issues, they will stamp visa there. but do email london and ask once. that rule is only for Pakistanis as they cant mail anything out and into pak.

no restriction on carrying a passport in hand i think? if you know some one going coming back in that time frame. n safest thing to do is to go back to avoid all complications.

complication is sending passport to islambad via someone and getting it back via somone or just mail to london and get back in mail?
i know for a fact that it needs to go to london, if they asked you to submit in islmabad you let them know your in canada, maybe you will have to send it to ottawa and thats it.
just drop and email to london, thats all

i havent come across anyone on TRV visa visiting canada and sends passport directly to london/ottawa in this case by mail. so i am not sure, sending email to them is deff an option and entailing the tale! and finding out if that solution is possible or not.
