I would like to sponsor my step-mother to come to Canada. My father was a landed immigrant but passed away some years back.

Will I be able to sponsor her and what would I need for this?

I don't think you are able to sponsor your step mother. You can only sponsor biological parents for PGP. I may be wrong but I don't think you can. Your father had a chance to sponsor your step mother himself for PR. Unfortunately for you, your step mother doesn't qualify for your PGP sponsorship.

She is not legally your parent, so you cannot sponsor her. The only way you could apply for her is if you were sponsoring your father and she was included as a dependent.

No. She is not your legal parent or even a relative, so you cannot sponsor her.
