Sponsoring spouse from Quebec

I'm sponsoring my husband who lives in Pakistan, and I myself reside in Quebec, Canada.

I'm a bit confused with the process. On Quebec's website, it says to first apply for the CIC, and then once I'm approved for that I can go ahead with the government of Quebec's application kit and hubby can complete the form for the CSQ. However, while I was filling out the forms for the CIC, I noticed it's asking me whether or not we already applied for the CSQ, if yes when was that, and if not, to do that first.

So do I send in the application form for the CSQ with the application to the CIC, or do I wait for the approval letter from the CIC first? :

No idea about it, better you remove Pakistan from topic so that other can also read it and help you out. Pakistan means you wanna get help in Pakistan related stuff so mostly people do no even open the thread after this specific region name by thinking that peope from that county would help better than us, Same as we do not open china japan or france thread

After sponsorship approval, you can apply to CSQ.
CIC will request to you about get CSQ.
So for soomthy going, I prefer that you should compleat all document for CSQ before SA, and then just send it to VO when you got request.

BTW, most of Quebec applicants has same questions so doesn't matter about country name

Hi,

Me too stuck in with the same question.

My understanding is

1) Apply for sponsor (Along with Applicants Docs also)

2) Apply for Quebec Undertaking and CSQ for Spouse (One directed by CIC)


N0w what I have to fill for Question no 7(b)? when did you apply ur CSQ?


Also, I need to know what will happen after step 2.

Right or wrong, I put the day I mailed the packet to the CIC. It wouldn't let me put 'no'. Even though they didn't request it until after SA. I wouldn't get a bar code otherwise. It was so annoying. You can't really give them a date because you don't know if and when it will be requested. However, I've read from other threads, it's to clarify of you've already applied at a different time and already received one. Why I had trouble with the form, I don't know. Because once I indicated my destination was Quebec, they wouldn't give me a bar code until I entered something.
