xenon, your entry in a spreadsheet shows your cc has been charged. Is that correct? or just a typo?

That's better than what it is coming from the US. The amount of time listed is ridiculous!

The thing is that based on the spread sheet there is one application only sent by Purolator has been charged. Recieved at 10:30am on Jan. 2nd . CC charged in the 10th of Jan. Others recieved at 8:45 am not yet charged! this time is in question..

It is in the entry of xenon, who was actually wondering who would bee the first from Purolators'. It says delivered 10:00AM. It might be a typo then... And I don't see any 10:30AM in a spreadsheet... may be we refer to different spreadsheets...

I suggest all you guys used Purolator should file claims to get your money back since what Purolator has done is dishonest.

No its under user1_sample - under the new entry.

happytrip, I am so sorry to hear this. This is what happened to my application last year. The application arrived on Jan 3, 2014 using my credit card as form of payment. The agent processed my credit card on Jan 19 and entered the wrong security code twice! CIC sent my application back stating that the security code was incorrect. I was so panic and rushed to the bank to get a money order and sent the file back the next morning. Unfortunately, I didn't meet the cap when it arrived for the second time. I contacted the credit card company and asked them to send a letter stating that it was merchant error - but by the time they sent me the letter it was too late :mad:
I am still upset thinking about it. This year I ended up using "certified cheque" because I don't want the same thing to happen again.
Hopefully you can get a hold of them and get them to try again.

That's terrible. I'd be furious too :mad:

Is there any way to appeal the decision when something like this happens? Since it's their mistake, they should accept the application regardless of the cap.

How you appeal? We had sent out our 1st application on November 3, 2011 by Canada Post Express, which was guaranteed 2 days delivery then, but arrived cic after November 05 when Kenny announced closure of PDP program, and returned us back. We tried last year, and Purolar lost our application and we ended up having sent 3 times to try to get in again, but no luck then. We finally got in this year by Fedex and cc just got charged today. Where should we appeal our case? Just hope everthing after will get better.

My application was delivered on Jan 2 at 9:41 by Fedex. I just saw CIC charged $550 on my credit card. I had a lot of stress. It's now gone. Good luck to everyone.

But frankly, as a Canadian citizen, I'm sorry Canada puts people through such a stress to have their loved ones living with them. If we welcome new immigrants for their skills, investments, talents, etc, we should respect their family ties. We can't just tell them to come but leave their loved ones, those who really need our care, behind. 5000 applications per year is ridiculous. Why can't they hire more agents to process the backlog?

agree with you, can they explain to us how these backlogs got started? As a citizen, do we have the right to know all these details? :mad:
