I guess it depends on how expensive the furn. is. Most of ours was from gmarket and from my dumpster diving days
Does Korea Post ship stuff bigger than the standard boxes on display? I gotta check that and see how much it costs.
Ha! Exactly the same as our furniture! We gave most of the stuff to her younger brother to help him with his new apartment.
As for Korea Post, you can pretty much ship any size box with them as long as it's within the weight limits. We sent many boxes of personal effects ahead of us so that my wife would have her winter clothes as well as essential household items. Most of the containers were old lamyun boxes from Mega Mart which were quite large (not sure if they are bigger than a #5 Korea Post box, though). The only thing that we had to break up was a set of poles used to create an adjustable clothing rack. We sent them surface, and although they told us it could take 2-3 months, we were pleasantly surprised when they showed up in Canada 5 weeks later.
We found this shipping method to be much more affordable than using a shipping company. If one were not shipping furniture and was only shipping personal effects, I would highly recommend shipping though Korea Post.
In good news, we've since received sponsorship approval and have been notified that our application was forwarded to Manila!
How did you guys get that sidebar under your name that notes your time lines? I want some spiffy flair! Do you have to make a certain number of posts?
