Wife's mother still lives in korea, we are calling her tomorrow. Hopefully that will work, everything else looks fairly straight forward, just more paperwork.

CanNZ, just read this on CIC's website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/korea-south.asp. It says "Immediate family members (parents, spouses, siblings) may request a certificate on your behalf".
This is what we did. My wife got her sister in Korea to pick up the police certificate on her behalf. I think she emailed her sister a sort of authorization letter, giving her permission to pick it up(not sure if this is even needed). Anyways they issued it to her no problem.

My wife and I will be going to Canada in May. Her medical expires in June but they way things are going I'm pretty sure the visa won't be finished by then. Should she do a remedical before we go or wait till they request and get it done in Canada?

For people living in Calgary, what are your wives doing while waiting for the visa to finish? If you're working are they getting lonely and home sick just staying at home?

A couple quick questions for anyone that might have a better understanding of these things than me.

First, my wife went and got her medical, she received the eMedical form and it says on the bottom " You have not yet provided online consent for emedical to process your health examination." Is there something special we need to do or do we just submit that form that has her picture and barcode on the top along with our application? She called the hospital, but they were unsure.

Second, my wife was married and divorced previously. Do we need to include a separate divorce certificate or is the Certificate of Marriage Relationsip enough, since it states that she was divorced?

I'd wait until they ask for it. You can do the re-medical in Canada at any panel physician.

Good news on my front. My wife's Criminal Rehabilitation application was submitted to CIC Detroit/Windsor on March 10th and approved March 13th. Just 3 days to process it, compared to 12 months in Manila. No interview required.

The approval letter arrived in Michigan yesterday and I drove her back to Canada this afternoon.

I just emailed a copy of the approval letter to Manila. Now that her criminality issue is resolved, hopefully her PR app in Manila can move forward.

I'm not really sure since the medical process has changed somewhat since my wife did her original medical. Her second medical was an eMedical. The form she was given when it was completed is probably the same as what you got. It's called an "eMedical Information Sheet". It has the same wording at the bottom of the page "You have not yet provided online consent for eMedical to process your health examination." I don't know what that means, as the doctor just emails the results on to the visa office.

In looking at the top box on the form "Instructions To Client" it says that if you have not yet submitted your application you need to attach that form to your application. So, just throw it in with your package and retain a copy. You should be fine.

Second, my wife was married and divorced previously. Do we need to include a separate divorce certificate or is the Certificate of Marriage Relationsip enough, since it states that she was divorced?
I would include it. It will save them from asking for it later and delaying your application.
