Guys, how soon after CIC received your application were you able to check your online status? I have tried a couple of times now but I get nothing.

It was 5 weeks for me!

14 months is not the maximum. 14 months is the time it takes for 80% of applications to be completed. That means there are 20% that take longer than 14 months.

80% is close enough to maximum for me :)

I got my AOR by email a week or so after I sent the application. It provided a client ID number which allowed me to access ECAS, but ECAS just showed "Application Received" for three weeks after that and then showed "Decision Made" when I got sponsorship approval. As others say, it's kind of a waste of time since ECAS doesn't really tell you much.

It seems that CIC has two approaches. Some people get AOR a week or so after submitting the application. Others get AOR a month later and then approval a day or two after that. Either way, it's probably wise to just be patient.

My wife finally got her supporting documents today, the Entry/Exit form is mostly in English, so she does not have to get that translated correct?

Also, it never said where she went, just that she had left the country for a period of time.

Where can my wife get the Entry/Exit form?

Any immigration office or any local government office ( commonly called "dong offices" ). Someone here said you can get it yourself online, but I'm not sure how you do that.

Finally got my UCI number from CIC.
