The nightmare is almost over. My husband bought his plane tickets. He will land in Vancouver on Friday night January 18th. Just 26 days before we can start a normal life as husband and wife after more than 4 years and a half of waiting... My God! I cannot believe it! But believe me... there will be lots of balloons at the airport :D

Thanks FatimZahra ... this does help because now i'm thinking I won't bring up the negative things i'm dealing with my family, and focus only on the good things. And if they should ask i'll continue focus on the good only, because thankfully there is some :) Thanks for your response

You're welcome Jamali. If there's anything else that you need help with I'm more then pleased to help in any way I can.

this really sucks big time.. my husband and I so wanted to be in Saskatoon to celebrate Christmas with my family. My mother is making a wonderful Christmas brunch( Mimosa and pumpkin cranberry muffin and eggs, etc) and Turkey for dinner. Smoked salmon as appetizers. I love all of those things.

it make me so upset that it is not fair at all that Embassy refused a visa to my husband!!! it is kind of depressing, actually. but I am going to think positive and hopeful that it will work out. We will celebrate Christmas with the family next year if appeal approved.*cross fingers*

THANKS GOD!!! My husband had appointment this morning at the embassy. Here is his message: "Thanks to Allah, to you, to our representative and everyone who contributed to realize this dream. Congratulations habibti! I am happy to know that at last we're going to be together after so many obstacles. Everything was fine. I came to the visa office at 8:30. We were about 30 persons. They gave our passports and we sat to watch a movie talking about life in Canada's system; work, education, politics and some laws, nothing new or special and the CD was done in 1992 :) When the movie finished, a Moroccan woman came to deliver us visas on our passports and two copies of Permanent resident to give to the people of immigration in the airport of Montreal. There were some questions and she answered them. I am going to Casablanca to buy my suitcases :) I love you. 9 days inchaAllah and I will be in your arms."

Nightmare nightmare this immigration process! My husband left Casablanca and he landed in Montreal where he had to take another flight for Vancouver. There were 3 hours between the two flights. The plane from Casa was 53 minutes late, he had to wait 20 minutes to get his luggage and he waited TWO HOURS for his turn with an Immigration officer. Now he is stuck at the Montreal airport and I had to pay an additional $400 so he can take the next plane at 5:30 am. He will land in Vancouver at 10:00 am. We were so impatient to be together as soon as possible so we can spend lots of time together before I return to work on Monday morning :(

Thank you dear FatimZahra! At last he has landed! The plane from Montreal was late too, so instead of arriving in Vancouver at 10:10 am, he arrived at 11:00 am. He brought me a new wedding ring to start our new life together. All is well so far. He likes it here :) Lots of sunshine today.

Great to hear he arrived safely and FINALLY! That's so sweet of him to have bought you a new ring for your new beginning together. Many blessings to you both.
