just curious...on the CIC website when I check our status all it says our application is in process, the date he had his interview(may 7th) and medical results have been received...does anyone know if thats a good thing or not? The lady that interviewed him also told him after the interview that his medical is good?

We only had 4 week days plus 2 days in the weekend to prepare for our interview. You can imagine it was quite a rush with requiring a new police check and such.

The best thing my husband and I did to prepare for the interview was to go over all the questions. Several times. As well as going through all my family information. Even though my brother does not speak to me, we went through his information as well and sure enough the lady asked him about my brother. My husband was able to answer confidently that he knew his name and his kids names but had never spoken to him and the reason why. She was happy with this answer.

Yes, he was very stressed and he was nervous... but the practice really made a big difference. We used the list Fatimzahra provided plus any other questions we felt might be relevant to our situation. my husband wore a nice suit and arrived early. He had everything well organised in a brief case and photos in an album. I know for him having everything organised made him feel more confident.

Her biggest beefs in our case were the small wedding party and our cultural differences. During the interview she asked how we communicate because his english and french speaking is somewhat limited. But since I speak some french and a little arabic we are always mixing our languages so of course we understand each other well. He responded honestly that we will arrange ESL classes for him here and he will be immersed in an English speaking environment...he is going to have no choice but to learn it. : She was also happy with this answer.

I believe that this kind of preperation will help your husband to feel more confident and will help him to answer the questions with more ease and information.

How long has the file been there in Rabat?

Hey my friend.. I got your message just have not been able to respond. We were celebrating a bit last night...LOL

I did not know there was anything after that... do they change it to something else? Like visa issued ??

hahaha.. to be honest now I don't care what it says as long as my husband gets the visa on June 20 and gets his butt over here.

He wants to wait till beginning of Aug... so I am looking at a flight from Rabat on Aug 1st.. haha if he comes on that day he will arrive here on Aug 2nd and it will be exactly 3 years since the first time we met.... would be kinda sweet if that happened

Any news on H's letter from work? Do you think he will arrive in the summer?

Last night my husband told me that the embassy told him to bring more proof, his national card and his passport at the interview. is this good or just normal procedure??

Gracekhalid, from what i see on both forum, after the interview, you see changes on the CIC website so hopefully its good!!! i hope everything will be alright!!

Ok ... so almost 6 months there. I am sure you will hear from them very soon regarding an interview.

Or did you have one already? I apologise I am mixing up people I think.

But if you have not had one yet you will likely hear very soon if one is required. You have the option of ordering GCMS notes if you want to see what they have in your file so far. This has been made easier by not requiring the release of information be the original. Your husband could sign and date one and fax or email it to you and you could get the notes in 3 weeks or so. Many people say to wait to order these but these notes actually helped us to know what the concerns were with our file. So I highly suggest ordering them.

I know the wait is killer... and there is nothing I can say to make it better. But I can tell you that the wait is worth it. I will have my husband here with me soon to share the rest of our lives together. It's the best feeling ever. So keep holding on and we are all here to support you through the good and the bad.

I think it is normal procedure..we were asked to bring proof of our communication(skype) for the last 3 months(so we printed off our skype correspondence which showed we talked for 3 -4 hours every night), his national card and passport

Yes, this is completely normal. They need his passport and identity card as proof that it is him at the door. They also want to make sure his passport is not expired. We were asked for more photos and conversations etc. I sent my husband many photos on the computer and I sent him 102 pages of conversations from the last 3 months : He printed these out to take with him.

If you visited him between the time you applied and now he should also take that for proof. The more the better basically.
