Great! So you are in the final stage. They will be doing his security checks now. Once they have that information back they will do a final review and then he will be contacted regarding the decision.

Yes, this is completely normal. They need his passport and identity card as proof that it is him at the door. They also want to make sure his passport is not expired. We were asked for more photos and conversations etc. I sent my husband many photos on the computer and I sent him 102 pages of conversations from the last 3 months : He printed these out to take with him.

If you visited him between the time you applied and now he should also take that for proof. The more the better basically.

Djinna..your very welcome!!..as for the interview, my husband was not stressed at all....just be honest thats all u can do and everything will work out Praying that everything will work out ok for your guys !!

Can i order those notes even if he didnt have the interview yet. We have 10 days left... How do we order them???

You can order the notes anytime during the process.

On this page you will find the links you need to pay the fee online and for the form your husband will need to sign and email or fax to you.

Unfortunately you will not receive the response till after his interview though. It usually takes about 3 weeks for them to return the info.

Dair..thanks for the info..on CIC website it actually says they received our application on Oct 18th....well I will just keep praying that everything will be ok for us, it is quite an emotional jouney(I just got back from my 7th visit to Morocco and I already miss my husband sooooo much!!

Wow.. I wish I could have visited my hubby more during this. I first traveled in 2009 then I had surgery in 2010 and was not able to travel till Jan 2011. After that I did not have any vacation time since I used extra in Jan 2011... I had to pay it back to my work. Now I have vacation time and little money hahaha... and in this moment... after receiving our news I am glad I have saved what I did because now I can get him here easily.

It will be 18 months that I have not seen him once he arrives. We have A LOT of catching up to do.. hahaha

I am sure you will be with him very soon!

18 months wow..God bless you for having that much patience and staying positive through it all..Good things come to those who wait right!! Lots of catching up to do for sure but you have the rest of your life for that. All the best to you guys

I did not know there was anything after that... do they change it to something else? Like visa issued ??

hahaha.. to be honest now I don't care what it says as long as my husband gets the visa on June 20 and gets his butt over here.

He wants to wait till beginning of Aug... so I am looking at a flight from Rabat on Aug 1st.. haha if he comes on that day he will arrive here on Aug 2nd and it will be exactly 3 years since the first time we met.... would be kinda sweet if that happened

Any news on H's letter from work? Do you think he will arrive in the summer?

Since the beginning we have taken screen shots of every time our info updated. So them changing it to *visa issued* or whatever would just be the final one.

No news yet for the letter from work. I REALLY hope that he arrives during summer. Administration is done work mid-July.

Maybe E & H will be on the same flight???

Thats a nice idea to take the photos. I was never a fan of ecas so I have avoided it.. lol

Would be very cool if they were in the same flight. They could help each other navigate their way. I am planning on having my hubby go from Rabat to Paris and then Paris to Toronto. It is the way I have always gone so I can talk him through it well.

Congratulations! It must be the Spring fever in Rabat! lol lol

Today my immigration consultant is driving downtown Vancouver to hand deliver the appeal book to the IAD and CBSA. She did a terrific job! She dug and dug and found little gems as evidences. I don't know how they could refuse us. She said we have a very strong case and we might win. I remain skeptical until the end... you never know with Immigration. I am so grateful for all her hard work and dedication. Especially in sad circumstances. One month ago she lost her grand-mother and two weeks ago she learned that her father has an aggressive form of cancer and I cannot be cured. She wanted to jump on a plane right away and postpone the hearing to the Fall. Then, her father had more tests last week to know how much time left he has.... 3 to 5 months. Her father told her not to come right away (she will fly the day after the hearing). He said she has to work hard to write the appeal book, practice the testimonies with us and be in court to represent us as our life has been on hold for too long. He wishes us to win. My heart just split in half. Please send good vibes to all of us as there are 3 weeks left before the hearing. Pray for my immigration consultant and her father. They are wonderful people and are the key to our (my husband and I) happiness and welfare. I am so ever grateful !!!
