Ooohh! whatta nice anniversary gift that would be... being together inshaAllah :D
you were planning on heading over there later this month, weren't u?

did they drill your husband at the interview at all? or was it breezy and speedy?

Hello guys, if the embassy hold your passport after interview does that means they will issue a visa? My wife attended interview on september 12 and they kept her passport and she was told she will here from them. Thanks in advance

Oh yes, still going in a few weeks, inchallah...! Can't wait to be with him and his family!!

No, they did not drill him; it was not a long interview. She asked what he does for a living, asked about what I do for a living, asked him about my kids/home life, spoke about his education/diplomas, how his family reacted to him wanting to marry a non-muslim, asked him to identify who was who in some of the pics, made comments that she can see that the family (more specifically his mother) likes me a lot, how many trips I/we made, where and when, where we stayed...And then told him that she believes that our relationship is genuine, he was accepted and that she will try to get visa for him right away, which she did a few hours later!! She did not question him about our short courtship (5 months) before marrying.

Hi everyone, I am new to this blog and I am looking to meet and talk to others in the same situation as me. I am sponsoring my husband from Morocco into Canada. The sponsorship was approved in Canada on June 5, 2013. The permanent residency application was then sent to Morocco. I don't know the exact date it was received there because they never sent us confirmation that it had been received, but on July 29, 2013 they posted that they had received his medical results. I haven't heard anything since then, I'm hoping now that the strike is over we will hear something soon. If he needs to have an interview or if he just needs to bring in his passport and they will give him his visa :) My lawyer had said that it should take 4 months in Morocco, but I think because of the strike it has delayed things because it has almost been 4 months. I would love to talk to someone who understands how difficult it is to be away from their spouse. I haven't seen my husband in almost 8 months. We have been together for just over 2 yrs, we got married on February 12, 2013. I have been to Morocco twice and we have spent 5 weeks in total together. Its been so hard but I wouldn't change this journey for anything because we have learned to communicate very well with each other and through our separation have created a solid foundation for our relationship and we have developed a beautiful strong love :) It is very hard for others to understand how you can love someone who lives so far away, but love doesn't know distance or time and despite the distance I feel so close to him because our hearts are always together :) I think that unless you are in a similar situation its hard to understand....I would love to connect with anyone who would like to share their experiences with me :) Good luck to everyone I hope time passes quickly for you and you can be reunited with your loved one soon :)
