Thank you dair2dv8103100, I wish I knew who that was around here!. Guess I will have to check into that because I was reading that some lady got the MP to write an email to Rabat saying she was pregnant and her husband came shortly after; mind you, i'm not pregnant anymore and she asked the MP to send the email when she was about 6 months through the process but it's worth a try.

Where do you live? I know there is a site (I just have to find it again) that you can plug in your postal code and it will tell you who the member of parliament is in your area.

I am not sure if it will help but can't hurt to ask!

Ha...found it ;D

go to this site and put in your postal code, it will tell you who the MP is in your area :)

Thank you again, you're quite helpful! :)

No worries!! I have been on this site since long before I was even married and am just glad to be able to give back even a fraction of the help people have given here.

So I'm confused. My husband received a call to pick up his visa (with NO interview needed), but he's to pick it up on a wednesday. When we checked the consulat is closed on wednesdays... Is this normal? Or could this be a mistake?

Wednesdays is when they give out the visa's but are closed to drop offs and interviews.

This is great news !! Congratulations!!

You are SO LUCKY!!! So it means the visa office can be fast! If they received your application on February 10, it means it only took FOUR MONTHS to process it? WOW!!!! Their website says their processing time is 10 months.

My only worry is that I work long hours and I do good money, but my husband is unemployed. He works a few days per month here and there, but not doing enough money. And also there is a big age gap between us. I am afraid it could take much longer than the other couples to have our application processed. Or, we might be turned down...

:) Congratulations, I hope all our processes will be fast like yours.
Life begins now for you, all the best. Just want to ask you did your husband receive a letter or e-mail from Rabat that they received his paper's from Mississauga???

Thanks Everyone!!

hayati :

My husband received a letter from Rabat, when they received his papers from MIssissauga. It was very fast for them to start processing the application. Also, I've noticed that in February, on e-cas it said "Medicals Received" but then after 2 weeks it was gone for like 3 months. I was panicky because I was thinking it was a mistake that they didn't receive his medical at all.

Habibti :
My husband was unemployed when we filled out the application... Just keep hoping and praying that things will go well for you both. I did call them a couple times, so maybe call them to remind them to not forget your application. I know some say that if you call the IO might feel pressured, but just let them know that you just want some sort of closure that everything will be okay.

Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations on the good news!! How is this even possible?? I am so amazed cause doesn't the process roughly take around 10 months? Did you keep calling Rabat? I would really like precise details please, hah.

Could give us the number you called MsLynie?

Thank you Ms. Lynie! But the fact that my husband is almost unemployed combined with the fact we have a big age difference might play against us.

In order for your husband to pick up his visa, the visa office did not ask for his passport before that?

And I e-mailed the visa office to inquire about our application and they said that no further action is required by me and that I should keep my correspondence to a minimum. They also thanked me for my patience (lol). I felt I should not disturb/annoy them furthermore, that is why I am VERY hesitant to call them like you did...
