Sponsor kid born outside Canada

My family (wife and two kids) are PR holders. We are expecting our third child, my wife wants to go back to India for delivery. Now my query is how can we bring the newborn to Canada, I can sponsor from Canada but it might take a year to get this approved. Can I sponsor the kid and then apply for visitor visa or apply for visitor and do sponsorship once in Canada. . Visitor visa would be only for 6months, what after then. would visitor visa gets approved in 2-3 months

You can try to apply for a visitor's visa for the newborn, or a visitor record. They are not always guaranteed. Giving birth in Canada would give the child Canadian citizenship and not require a sponsorship.
