Sorry if these have been asked before, there is soo much info on this forum it can get confusing!

first a little details Im getting married to my boyfriend in 2 weeks. We will then be submitting inland app then. Im a Canadian citizen hes a thai citizen hes here on a Visitor visa. I know the warnings but we love each other lots, age difference isnt much etc.

Most of my questions come from the document checklist because its not specific.
I believe I dont need to do additional dependents (because there isnt any) Also
because im getting married i dont need to provide proof of common law or conjugal relationship correct ?? Or is it recommended to do so anyways ? (joint bank accounts etc)
and If i dont have to do it do i still check the box and just not put anything in or leave it blank??

in the spouse/commonlaw questionair, under period of cohabilition what would i put on the "to" side. hes not planning to leave me. so do i just leave it blank? or put where his visitor visa is SET to currently expire??

Lastly. just to confirm If i understand correctly he cannot get a OWP correct?
hes here in visitors status and I Just have a basic job.

Thank you so much for your help

Hello just read the instruction guide while filling out the forms it helps a lot! You still have to send proof of marriage/relationship such as joint account (very important), lease with both your names if possible, letter from your friends/family , pictures together of outings/trips/honeymoon

About the date put "present" Remember to send an open work permit application (150$ fee) with your inland application so he gets implied status and wont have to renew his visitor visa... he would get an open work permit as soon as you are approved as a sponsor which is about 10 months.

Good luck!

As Jenny said, you still need to provide proof that your relationship is genuine. The only difference in proof required for common-law versus married is that as a married couple, you do not have to prove that you have lived together for at least 12 month. You still need to provide photos of the two of you together, and any other proof that you have combined your lives and are in a genuine relationship. Proof can include joint bank account statements, other joint account information (auto insurance policy, any bills showing both your names, etc.), mail addressed to both of you, etc. What you want to do is show CIC, though photographs and other information, that you two have been in a real relationship that is ongoing. Have you taken trips together? Send photos from the trip with itineraries listing both of your names. Have you communicated by phone/skype/chat programs while you have been apart? Send phone bills/skype logs/chat logs showing your communication. You don't have to send every shred of evidence you can dig up. What you want to do is send some stuff from early in the relationship to show when it was established, then show other proof from various intervals during your relationship.

Again, as Jenny said, when applying inland, you can include an Open Work Permit application with your sponsorship/PR application. After stage one approval (often called AIP - approval in principle), he could then seek employment.
