After how many months your file starts process ?
Did you ask for CAIPS Notes for what reason they ask for an interview?

I am worry about my sponsor wife. Singapore received my application on July 11 and i send an e-mail about my Quebec Selection Certificate, they replied me on August 10 with this quote ''Spore office received your CSQ. File is now in queue awaiting review by officer. Please wait to receive further instructions, if any, from this office''. I am confuse do they will ask for interview or not. I did not provide them huge supporting doucments. I gave them 15 wedding , engagement, and honeymoon pictures and some family pictures who were attandant my wedding ceremony. phone call log written my number and her number and sending money doucment. My wife did not receive any AOR letter from Singapore until now.

I was looking for an answer how Singapore Visa office follow the step by step. After how many months they start process and while it in process how long it takes until ask for passport. Now i am waitting to fix bugs on double sponsor process and my wife address is missing since August 25.


If Singapore asks for an interview it will take place at Dhaka Canada Visa Office. For interview we do not have to wait that long but i don't know about current time frame.

current processing time is 21 months for 80% of the cases, but few ppl got PPR in just 3 months. they dont take long time to complete a case if they find no doubts in relationships. but if they are not so sure then they put the files apart for more reviews and eventually issue interview letters.

And thats why it takes them 6-18 months to provide an interview date when they doubted the application in the first place and hence called for an interview to clarify things. Now either they do something else in that gap (which they already should have to file the ground for interview in their internal system, if they have one : or they just abuse the processing time as they have plenty. I know of people whose case got cleared in 4 months and for someone else in 14 months, none of them were asked for an interview. They would have reason that to the time for background checks, which I believe nobody would ever know about - what they really do and why it takes so long.

yeah i said min 6 months.... last September a friend of mine got an interview letter stated that it would happen in 18 months... but in February 2011 he got another letter to attend the interview in April. however he got refused after the interview although his case was genuine. you can never predict how the Singapore VO works on cases. By making yourself sad you wont be able to change anything so u better take things easy and hope for the best.

When a genuine case refuse it is a big pain.

Hey all just wanted to update everyone. My wife just received her passport request today!!!! Finally


Quick question, they are sent her a form where she has to fill out some information pertaining to the passport. Does she have to fillout the spouse section (my passport information) and dependent section (our daughter passport information)? Our daughter has a Canadian passport now and did not needed to be added to the PR application since she is a Canadian citizen. Moreover, I'm the spouse and I'm not part of the PR application,so my wife would have to fill out her section only? Correct me if I'm wrong

The letter asked us how we want it mailed back, the fee is like $75

From where? I always use courier when sending docs to CIC-SG. Gives me an advantage of tracking and requesting to expedite at the same time.

Once the passport has reach Singapore visa from the IOM in Cambodia, they wanted to know how we want the passport returned. I believe my wife would have to pick it up at the IOM, but it is our choice in what method that it will be sent back to IOM Cambodia in phnom penh

Some of them getting answer from Singapore VO. It is a good sign. My address was dissapear since aug 25 it has been 2 weeks and more nothing vhange.and also not shows up too.i thought it may start process.i hope i will get some good answer.
I have two friens one ask for redo medical and one ask for interview.

Hey I notice there are now two lines on my CIC application status page. Looks like this:

Sponsored Person..........Sponsorship Application Status..............Permanent Residence Application Status

MY WIFE'S NAME...........In Process.........................................In Process

MY WIFE'S NAME...........Decision Made....................................In Process



Anyone else getting this? What's the story here? Since a long time ago the one with 'Decision Made' has been there but recently the one that just says 'In Process' for both columns has been added. Huh?

one of the experts in this site told me that we can send more evidences and its a good idea since usually the processing time is too long and the officer will be able to know that the relationship is still alive and kicking. just u have to put your file no and name on the envelope. good luck
