Pre-Assessed..
hello there!!!

greetings.... im new to this forum even though we are not from family class sponsorship we are hoping that someone can provide any infos, we are applying under Quebec skilled worker and recently issued our CSQ....... my family is about to apply for federal. can anybody enlighten our doubts:
1. am i right in saying that our VO will automatically be Singapore??? (since we residing here for almost 5 yrs) ...
2. as for the police clearance since they are not issuing police clearance if you are not a citizen but will only provide you if you can show them letter of request from Visa office that requires you to secure it.... so we only need to submit our application minus the singapore police clearance?
3. do they really require bank statement and for how many months??? is it submitted together with the application???
4. do we need to include our employment cert and educational docs together with our federal application?
5. do we need to provide proof of any relatives in canada since we are going to quebec only??? (my hubby's sister a PR and lots of uncles, cousins who are citizens..... ??? confuse if do we really need to furnish all brithcert......

any inputs is highly appreciated. thanks much!!!

- My case, I submitted my application without a Singapore COC with a letter explaining why. Recently, CIC-SG sent me a letter how to secure Singapore CIC. I submitted the letter to SPF and secure a COC. They SPF will send my COC directly to CIC-SG. Hope that helps.

one of the experts in this site told me that we can send more evidences and its a good idea since usually the processing time is too long and the officer will be able to know that the relationship is still alive and kicking. just u have to put your file no and name on the envelope. good luck
Thanks Suva. I agreed with you that proofing the relationship is still on going after the marriage is very important as well especially for cases that takes too long

I send an e-mail to them to know how many month could take to process an application. They replied me with this quote '' Your file is still in process". On 10 August they replied me when i ask for to know about my Quebec Selection certificate ''File is now in queue awaiting review by officer''

But in ecas it shows
Under permanent resident side:
We received XXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on July 11, 2011.

Since 25 August my wifee address is missing from ecas. I am confuse about their reply. Any suggestion

Here's a little update, my wife in Saigon received a package from the Singapore Visa Office.

They requested that she redo her medicals (logical since she took them about a year ago), and they mentioned that there might be an interview.

They also sent back most of our pictures and letters :/

As i know when they send back your supoorting picture it's mean your interview waived. Why they mentioned may ask for interview.
I have two friends here is their situation
Received Permanent application Dec 18 2010 process started July 11 2011 and received letter on Sept 05,2011 to redo medical and return back all photos they gave them. did mot adk for interview.

Secodn friend permanent resident application received 15 Nov 2010 received letter on 08 Sept,2011 for interview but told could be anytime ask for interview within 2 years. Why it will take 2 years?

Did they return all of your photos? When you saw your application was start process? and you received all photo that you gives?

i guess the first person will also get a letter for an interview soon. If they return ur photos and other documents without passport request that means u r going to face an interview...

According to my wife, it looks like they sent back pretty much everything, it was a large pile of photos and letters sent back to her in Saigon.

She definitely needs to redo her medicals as she did them prior to my October 2010 visit (so expired).

She was actually unclear as to whether or not an interview is going to be required. I'll update this tomorrow.

My wife took a photo of the letter she received form the High Commission of Canada:

Dear XXXXXXXX:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Your application for a permanent resident visa is nearly complete. In order to proceed towards issuance of your permanent resident visa with minimal delay, you must follow the steps outlined below.

Note: This letter is NOT a guarantee that a permanent resident visa will be issued. Upon receipt of items requested below, a final review will be done to determine if you meet all eligibility requirements and are not inadmissible to Canada.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION:

You must undergo a medical examination. Forms and instructions are attached. You must take your passport with you when you go for the medical examination. You must complete the attached Appendix C and return it to our office with the required documents listed above.

You are also required to submit additional documents to our office. The required documents are listed below. You will want to begin preparing the documents now. Wait two weeks after completing your medical examination and all required lab tests, then submit all the documents in one envelop, together with your passport to this office.

Exception: If the Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) advises you that further medical tests are required, do not submit your passport at this time. Please proceed to submit the other required documents, and we will request your passport once satisfactory medical results are available.

Instructions for submitting your passport....

nothing important to mention here.
