May this be the week that all of us will get out passports back. It's takin too long!!

One question did they contact u before the re-medial request for any kind of docoment submition such as possport copy or some thing else because my submition date is also same month as urs and 4day back they ask for my husbend passport copy so I am just little bit worried

just got a reply for sgvo for a case specific enquiry which i have made a couple of days back. anyone knows what this means?

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always disappointing to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications.

That doesn't sound very good. But at least they responded to your email. I got no response at all. My husband contacted his MP, came back 4 days later with answer that my application still within the normal processing time. It's been 2 months since SVO received my passport

So far, I mailed my application package on april 28th, CIC Mississauga Received the package on april 30th according to canada post tracking.

Have you tried contacting your local MP to check on the status of the visa for you?

have requested GCMS and just did a case specific enquiry....wouldnt want them to get pissed off with my case and delaying it even more....guess i will wait for another 2 more weeks first

My husband submitted his passport today at VFS. The final wait has started!

hello...hope you are doing well...could you please tell me how to get gcms? You and I are on the same boat ..still havent gotten my passport. How quickly can I get gcms? Do you think asking for it at this stage of the application will help?

VFS agent told my husband that he should be receiving his passport back in 4-5 weeks.
I know VFS agent is not the one who makes decision on how long it takes for final review.
I'll wait till next month, if we still haven't heard any word from SVO, I would ask MP for help.

I got my second GCMS yesterday on that there was a different File number; and on the app status section it says

Created Date:2013/10/18
App Status: cancelled and
App status reason is :Entered in Error


While the previous GCMS was Created Date:2013/10/31 and by different officer

help me out to understand and on the last page there is a note

Note 3:
Created Date:2013/11/1
Created By:*********
Updated Date:2013/11/1
Updated By:
Label: General

Office : CPC Missuasage

Text- this file replaces the one that was incorrectly created by the file creators where PA was merged to another person's ID.



so what you people think about this case

They must have created a second file for you by mistake, then deleted one of your files and put all notes about you under one applicant number/UCI.

I only hope they did not lose anything during that merging. It will only extend the waiting period, even if it is an error on their end.

Finally, my wife just got her visa yesterday via Thai post service . that was a long and painful process , I am going to thailand tomorow and we will be back the 4th of june TOGETHER !!!! Just keep hoping , they had her passport for 4 months before they sent it back . I want to thanks everybody that help me in this forum , without you I would have been still in the dark !!!

It means that SVO has a new VO and recently we are watching more activities there may be because of the new Visa officer.

Good sign.
