Hi TorontoGuy: General trend is, CIC usually does not accept 'additional documents' after selecting any application for interview, so far. However, I am not discouraging any effort taken by applicant/sponsor.

Hi hardtowait,

I meant to say, before the application is added to the interview queue (i.e before the applicant/sponsor is formally informed about the interview in an email/mail), it would be possible to add some additional documents to get a positive outcome - this is what someone suggested on this forum a while ago (can't remember who anymore).

However, you are right - once an application is officially marked for interview, SVO won't accept any more documents.

Hi AKHI;
I recommend you as well to do it. I meant call Canadian embassy in Singapore and ask them, they might say we don't have any information about it but you have to insist. They will give you a certain answer, I am sure.

RECOMMENDED INTERVIEW;
This phrase means that first officer (local) accept your application but he/she recommends next officer (Canadian- decision maker) to interview you. Sometimes decision maker believes your relationship and that's done! if he/she doesn't then you will get a letter that you are in interview.

Hi Everyone,

I have a good news and a bad news to share.

Today, on E-cas I noticed that the application status has changed to "In Process". :)

Now the bad news: I submitted a case specific enquiry for address change few days ago. I noticed they have updated the address on E-cas today, but got the street number wrong >:( Since my wife or I didn't get any email from them, I'm assuming they will be sending/have sent a regular mail, which would either bounce back or get delivered to the wrong address. I have sent another case specific enquiry asking if they have sent any mail and to update to the correct address (politely of course).

Just a general question for everyone who got re-med request: does SVO send a specific form for re-med request that you have to take to the physician, or do they send a general mail/email asking you to do a re-medical ?
I hope you get you re medical sooner :)

Thank You to both Akhi and Afrose for your input regarding DNA request. I hope things work out for both of you.

From my GSMC note, I can see 1 officer reviewed her file on February and 'recommneded interview' and now it's waiting for next office to review and action.

As I wait for either re-medical request or an interview request, what's the likely medium for these requests? email to my wife or mail to my wife?
Funnily, they got my email address wrong in the system and I contacted CIC few times and it's still wrong.

Also, if baby is born if before any of the above happen, should I send any communication to SVO through their contact us form or just start the baby's citizenship process in Canada?

When did u apply? When was ur file sent to Singapur VO?
