AKHI;
Tomorrow morning, first call to Canada embassy and ask them about this call, there is no immigration phone number just call to embassy itself. If they said that you have to email immigration section tell them there is no time and this matter is emergency. Make them to go and ask them :D don't give up .....

Thank You to both Akhi and Afrose for your input regarding DNA request. I hope things work out for both of you.

From my GSMC note, I can see 1 officer reviewed her file on February and 'recommneded interview' and now it's waiting for next office to review and action.

As I wait for either re-medical request or an interview request, what's the likely medium for these requests? email to my wife or mail to my wife?
Funnily, they got my email address wrong in the system and I contacted CIC few times and it's still wrong.

Also, if baby is born if before any of the above happen, should I send any communication to SVO through their contact us form or just start the baby's citizenship process in Canada?

thanks smkh n david,
generally my father in law handle everything..he is d matobbor :-p.....lets see what he do now....thanks guys for ur consolation n advice

hi ashezz,
i wish u dont hv to go through interview coz it could take as long as d.n.a test process can take.....but u must inform svo about ur child after his/her birth..coz they already mention that any change about ur status u should inform them otherwise it could create problem later..n u should start ur baby's citizenship processing as soon as possible after birth though it has nothing to do with ur wives pr processing..........

Hi ashezz,
Unfortunately that means your spouse will be mailed a interview letter to her home mailing address saying she is in interview queue and that it may take upto 24 months for that. I got that letter in December. Still no news from them

Another thing I wanted to mention is that I emailed my mayor today regarding help on my wife's immigration, he replied saying he would love to help but they have no say in this matter.
Apparently he tried writing recommendations previously for other applications but that did not help at all.
So, now I am stuck with no other options. >:(

Hi ashezz,

Since the first officer mentioned "recommend interview", I would highly recommend sending more proof of your relationship to SVO. It could be more photos of your engagement/holud/wedding/honeymoon that you haven't sent before, phone call logs (or skype call logs) to indicate you talk to your wife regularly, copies of plane tickets (and boarding passes, if you still have them) that shows you visited your wife regularly - basically anything that further proves that your relationship is genuine. For the wedding pictures, it's good to provide ones that has lots of people in it (not just the two of you) and people of various ages. Once you are officially on the interview list and you get the interview letter, the processing time could be quite long.

Best of luck!

Hi Everyone,

I have a good news and a bad news to share.

Today, on E-cas I noticed that the application status has changed to "In Process". :)

Now the bad news: I submitted a case specific enquiry for address change few days ago. I noticed they have updated the address on E-cas today, but got the street number wrong >:( Since my wife or I didn't get any email from them, I'm assuming they will be sending/have sent a regular mail, which would either bounce back or get delivered to the wrong address. I have sent another case specific enquiry asking if they have sent any mail and to update to the correct address (politely of course).

Just a general question for everyone who got re-med request: does SVO send a specific form for re-med request that you have to take to the physician, or do they send a general mail/email asking you to do a re-medical ?

Hi TorontoGuy: General trend is, CIC usually does not accept 'additional documents' after selecting any application for interview, so far. However, I am not discouraging any effort taken by applicant/sponsor.
