Sometimes you file is done then they can even issue VISA and COPR in the same day if your file not finished yet then you have to sent it and expect another two or three months.

My wife just told me that right after the interview, they gave back to her all the updated forms, police certificate, ID's photocopies and translation, etc.

What that means? They are supposed to keep these no? So, it's a refusal????

That is unfortunate news. I don't know what is the next steps but you can appeal to immigration judge. Before that consult with a lawyer.

Because my wife didn't give me this information.

An appeal means that I have to wait 3 more years. That's insane. These *CENSORED WORD* have the power to destroy so many lives. Canada sponsoring laws are so stupids. They need immigrants to pay the pension benefits of their retired citizens. So any wedding should be accepted as long as the people are under 30. Because people under 30 will work until 67 years old. Genuine wedding or not, we don't care. They will work more than 30 years and pay taxes.

But more frustrating is that my marriage is genuine! Yes, I wed her only after 4 months, so what? Some people fall in love at the first sight and are still happily married after 60 years. And others divorce after 50 years together and a courtship of many years.

no news yet, applied Online 06 August, expecting in mid september, takes about 6 weeks now.

To get the passport for your baby is not too hard. Its hard for your wife only. I also was the same situation. After my baby born my husband applied for my baby's citizenship certificate through high commission & after 3 months my boy got his citizenship certificate & 1 month later got passport also.

3mnths back I got a email from SVO where they mention they have doubt about me & my husband relationship is genuine or not for that they send the DNA request. Now its mandatory for all who has baby. By 1 week my husband give his sample but me & my baby still wait for the schedule. Coz SVO will give us the time & place where we have to give the sample. But in their email they mention it takes 4-6 weeks. Now 12 weeks over but no progress. I'm confirm you'll also get the same request so be prepared.

Its mandatory to have dna test now? thanks god mine was inside otherwise i would have to wait another year i guess.. all the best to you

I would not make any conclusion at this point. Wait for a letter from them. It could mean that they are happy with the interview too. Remember who ever is approved without the interview also get photos and some staff back. So, wait for any update from them.

Did you get back all the translations like birth certificate, marriage certificate ,police certificate ?
