Should I get the MP involved?

Hey guys, I'm still waiting 6 weeks after redid the meds. Ottawa isn't replying my emails. Is involving the MP get the officer angry or something? Waiting is not just the answer coz I wanna know if everyth is ok. Some ppl get problems with their medicals where their embassies never get no medicals results. But I don't wanna make stuff worse. Thanks.

It shouldn't make the visa officer angry if you ask your MP for help. Lots of people do, and no one has reported any suspicious delays.

Hi,

We tried getting the MP involved with our visitor visa, didn't help. But at least we got to know what reasons they gave for denied visitor visa. You can have the MP get involved in telling you far your case has gone. Try talking to your MP and see whether they can help. Doesn't hurt. However emailing them too much may get them worked up wrong. Plus i have realized 6 weeks with CIC isn't that long. Still you can try, just see whether you can pace them with a few weeks in between.

I guess MPs will only help if you passes the standard processing time posted on the CIC website
also please don't bug them with too much correspondence as this can create a delay on your file, it is most likely your file is in progress,
If you wanna know if everything is ok then order CAIPS notes.

We contacted our MP for a failed visitor visa application to and they were super helpful at giving us more info.

However, with the PR... I emailed back and forth with the embassy about 4 times and then they just sent me an interview request so that could be because I made them angry.. I guess we'll never know.

Not the first time we've seen that here. Another posters' blog specifically points out, "any emails more than ONE will only set them off".

I don't think it would hurt. It's also hard to say if it would help but maybe the MP can get a bit of feedback as far as how your file is going.
More than a couple of times our MP's secretary talked to her contact and gave us feedback as soon as she got it. My wife had her medical redone on Oct. 1st and was told the report went to the embassy on the 15th of that month. We hoped she'd be here for Christmas, but it didn't happen.
Only last Friday was her home address posted on the CAS as being Fergus Ontario Canada, ... and only yesterday was her CAS changed to "Decision Made", so as you can see, .. for us anyhow it was a long time from the medical being done till we actually saw any change.

Thank you guys, thanks Merlyns. I already passed my interview, I only emailed ottawa twice about letting me know the status of the medical. They never replied not even once. I decided to get the MP involved. She told me she would get an update within 10 days, and me I thought she would be faster lol. The embassy told me they would give me the visa on december coz it takes a month for ottawa to update the system. And they have the passports since then. I hope the 2 emails to ottawa aren't causing me problem. I already have enough. I can't just see the days passing by like that lol. Anyway thanks guys. I think now I will try to relax, I did everyth I could.
