Hi Everyone I have submitted inland spousal sponsorship for my wife living with me in canada on 16th september 2024. I got the AOR on 29th October in which it was mentioned to pay biometrics fees in case If it was not included during the application submission. However, I have paid the biometric fees along with RPRF, application processing fees which is $1290. I have NOT received BIL letter yet. but Ihave booked an appointment to give er biometrics on 14th Nov. I tried to contact IRCC but they are not transferring calls to an agent due to high calls volume. Should I wait further or can I go ahead and give her biometrics with the AOR and application fee receipt?

unfortunately, you need the BIL to go for biometric appointment, we all cannot go to the appointment with the AOR and the fee receipt
contact IRCC and settle the fee first, did they mention anything in their letter? like what can you do if you think it's a mistake?

No they have not mentioned that anything is missing from my end. I just received AOR email from CPC Mississuaga Office. the next step is to give biometrics and they included the URL to biometrics page on their website. As I already paid the biometric fees while submitting the application should I wait for BIL letter? in the IRCC application tracker Biometrics is showing as in progress. Background is also in progress

My situation is relating to that. Paid $1290 (Aug 26) with biometrics and did not receive BIL as of today, called IRCC, agent said it will come when it will come and they cannot do anything about it. I shared with him that on website its 10 days with payment but nothing can be done by them eventually. You will be refused at service Canada without a BIL. Better wait for it and then book it or early morning walk in visit.

yes, you need BIL to go for biometric, are you sure it’s not BIL?

thanks a lot for the information. Not sure what these IRCC guys are doing. I am not even able to talk to an agent. They are simply disconnecting the call after enter all the necessary info on IVR. I have checked other people's timelines on this forum. People seem to be getting BIL after 2 to 3 weeks from getting AOR. Some people are still awaiting AOR. Only god knows what is happening

"Hello everyone,

I submitted my spousal sponsorship application at the beginning of September and paid a fee of CAD 1,290.00 (which included the biometrics fee). Following this, I received an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) on October 28, 2024. In the AOR, IRCC provided the following instructions:

Next step:
  • If your sponsored family members are between 14 and 79 years old, they and their accompanying dependents (who are 14 years of age or older) will need to complete Biometrics. This is a reminder to submit the Biometrics fee if you did not include it with your application submission. For additional information on biometrics and instructions on how to pay, please visit the IRCC website at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration refugees citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/facts.html
  • Once the Biometrics fees are paid, the applicant will receive instructions on how to complete Biometrics. Please note that the applicant must provide new Biometrics for this application, even if they have completed Biometrics in the past in support of a temporary resident application or a different permanent resident application.

However, as of today, I have still not received the biometric instruction letter from IRCC. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to remind IRCC to send the biometric instruction letter. I am also concerned about whether IRCC is truly attentive to our applications and whether they are actively working on them.

If anyone in this group has experience in addressing and expediting such issues, I would greatly appreciate your advice on the best course of action. I believe that by sharing our experiences, we can help everyone obtain PR status promptly and establish a stable life.

Respectfully yours."

I also applied on 15th September but no luck didn’t received AOR. And I called IRCC and luckily i got contacted with an agent and he said that we are processing files which were submitted in 1st week of September. But as i see many people whom have submitted in October got their AOR. Don’t know how IRCC is processing files.
