"Hello everyone,
I submitted my spousal sponsorship application at the beginning of September and paid a fee of
CAD 1,290.00 (which included the biometrics fee). Following this, I received an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) on October 28, 2024. In the AOR, IRCC provided the following instructions:
Next step:
- If your sponsored family members are between 14 and 79 years old, they and their accompanying dependents (who are 14 years of age or older) will need to complete Biometrics. This is a reminder to submit the Biometrics fee if you did not include it with your application submission. For additional information on biometrics and instructions on how to pay, please visit the IRCC website at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration refugees citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/facts.html
- Once the Biometrics fees are paid, the applicant will receive instructions on how to complete Biometrics. Please note that the applicant must provide new Biometrics for this application, even if they have completed Biometrics in the past in support of a temporary resident application or a different permanent resident application.
However, as of today, I have still not received the biometric instruction letter from IRCC. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to remind IRCC to send the biometric instruction letter. I am also concerned about whether IRCC is truly attentive to our applications and whether they are actively working on them.
If anyone in this group has experience in addressing and expediting such issues, I would greatly appreciate your advice on the best course of action. I believe that by sharing our experiences, we can help everyone obtain PR status promptly and establish a stable life.
Respectfully yours."
