Hm so strange. What did you use? UCI and Application number? have you tried last name? also, do you have the PR tracker account? - that might be another option
Application number and family name. But I have tried all the options. I changed my address after submitting the file. It can be because of that too.

Hey did you have to give your medicals again ? I am wondering since I did my medical 3 years ago to come to study to Canada. Would my medical be applied to my PR application automatically ?

it would never be applied "automatically" per-se
did you submit it with your application? if not, submit it via a webform

Hi,
This is my sixth month here, and I am awaiting a response to my submitted application (both PR and SOWP).
How do I go about not overstaying the 6-month thing?
Your contributions are highly appreciated.

Got the sponsor eligibility letter again. Not sure why, but this one says to ignore the one sent on December 5th. Says the same thing pretty much. Kind of was hoping for a good update but we're not getting that big of a new year surprise I guess.

Updated timeline:

  • Application Submitted: September 30, 2024
  • AOR: October 29, 2024
  • Pre-arrival services Letter: November 23, 204
  • AIP: November 25, 2024
  • Sponsor Eligibility: December 5, 2024
  • Sponsor Eligibility (2nd): December 31, 2024
So I've not had any updates on our case since the 2nd sponsor eligibility letter. No biometrics or medical requests. Do those get waived sometimes? or do I just need to keep waiting?

Wife had biometrics and medical done for her student visa back in 2022 before coming to Canada, so it's pretty recent in terms of validity. She already has a TRV stamped in her passport.

Medical - yes (if still valid, they will use the existing one). Biometrics - no (need to get a new one for "permanent one"

IIRC she did both the biometrics and medical before coming here on a Student Visa (wife still asleep and I'm at work, will confirm later lol)

When I applied for her TRV "extension", they waived the biometrics and medical, stating they already have them.

Guess I'll just sit and wait for the BIL.

visitor record is also considered "temporary" Biometrics is required for all "permanent residence" applications. You can check here: https://ircc.canada.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

For medical, my personal experience, did one for a visitor record and didn't have to do it for PR.
