Question for folks getting oath invites - have they now mostly moved to in person ceremonies or is it based on a choice selected by the applicant? How does it work?

It's still primarily conducted online and managed by your processing office. While you can request it via a web form, this might lead to delays, especially if you opt for an in-person ceremony, as these are less frequent compared to online ones.

Ah, okay. I saw some folks on instagram having them in person so I thought a choice was offered. I knew it was 100% remote with COVID but thought they reverted

Ah makes sense, that's what I had speculated. The ghost update must have been for security or criminality but it's only marked as "Completed" once both are done.

Yes you can. But be ready to be back if you're oath or interview is scheduled.

Similar status for my application.
Ghost update on November 29. (AOR - 10/Oct, application : 28-Sep)
No email so far for citizenship test.
All major checks are "in progress" as per the dashboard.

Anyone else stuck with fingerprints & the Canada Post strike? I called IRCC today are yet to receive my fingerprints. I submitted fingerprints on Nov 8.

I received the fingerprint request on October 29th and provided my fingerprints to an authorized agency on October 30th. They confirmed that the RCMP processed my request on the same day, October 30th. However, I haven't received any updates from IRCC, and the status is still in progress.
