and how do we validate this theory? just curious because mine and my spouse's ECAS also says "in process" but tracker says BG "in progress". our test is completed already so bit worried why they are taking forever to check our BG.
Curious to jump in this convo. Actually ECAS in progress means the file has been received by the local office and they have began processing your application on the date mentioned on it. Anytime the tracker gets marked completed, ECAS won't necessarily change. These 2 systems are too disconnected from each other. My test and BG has already marked completed as of Jan 23 however ECAS still stuck in progress since Jan 8 and no updates on ECAS since then. I follow the tracker more then ECAS.
agree with you 100%. i don't even check ECAS. it is useless tool and gives 0 information
that is exactly what i do my friend. but was just curious and wanted to know the reasoning behind how "in process" means BG completed. because my understanding was also the same that it juwt means that it is now being processed at the locally assigned office
Lol. I mean the only time it was useful was when my file was sitting in limbo after I got my AOR in Oct and in Jan my ECAS got updated to in progress which gave me an indication that finally they have started processing my file. Otherwise this tool is not too great.
They would provide you 21 days timeframe for taking test and would be informing you prior 2 weeks so once you get invite you can take test anytime between that timeframe. No booking or anything needed, whenever you feel prepared you can take test.
the 3 you mentioned completes first and then they change oath into in progress. Once the oath goes in progress then you can expect the invite anytime from them.
Mostly within a week but some people these days are seeing delay of even 45 days.
