I received the oath invitation despite informing them two months ago that I would be outside of Canada until the end of August.

I requested a reschedule, and they asked for my ticket details. I sent them a copy, but nothing changed in the eCAS until the day after the scheduled oath ceremony (August 7th). The background check status went back to 'in progress' for a day and then changed to 'complete.'

The oath Ceremony status is now "in progress"
BTW, I received the citizenship certificate info email on Aug 7th

Finally, I got both language test and prohibition marked as “Complete” on July 24th
Can someone please update the tracking sheet for me. It is not allowing me anymore to update it myself.

So, everything is green now, waiting for the oath schedule.
I am outside Canada, sent them a form update on the trip and informed them that I will be back by end of Aug. I didn’t expect anything to move while I am away, but I was wrong :)

We did not hear back from them from September 2023 to June 2024. We reached out to IRCC through our MP and the only update they could get was that the background checks were taking time – possibly because we lived different Middle Eastern countries. We were told we were within the timeline for processing. MP’s office followed up every 6 weeks with IRCC and informed us that there were no hiccups , just that the BG’s were taking time.
