Did anyone receive AOR2?? No AOR2 from Ottawa???? :(

Our Ecas haven't been updated yet!! Still shows on process for SA, eventhough we did receive SA by email more than two weeks ago. If they don't send us AOR2 and they don't even update Ecas how are we suppose to know what's going on? :-[ :(

We sent in our sponsorship package (US spousal) back in September. It was received on September 14th. Since then, I haven't received a thing in the mail and I am concerned. No AOR (which is supposed to come within a month) and no sponsorship approval. Nothing. Is this normal? What is going on? Anyone else not receiving anything after mailing everything out in September? Thanks.

Hi bunny82,

Makeithappen2015 had similar issues like you.

Did you give CIC your email address or just your home address? If you gave them an email, the AOR will be send to the sponsor.
If you don't get an answer after 63 of the day CIC received your application you can call them and asked if they received your application. Try to call many times if you don't get an answer at the begging. Each agent will tell you something different... but if you get lucky and on a nice agent replies to your call, he will let you know what is going on with your application.

Best of luck :)

It is 63 days today. Yes, they have my email address and home address. I haven't received anything, not even an AOR. I believe the person you mentioned received their AOR, just not the SA in the mail. I don't know what is wrong and I am worried. I can't call them now as it is past 4pm my time and there are apparently no agents. I wonder what the problem is. Nobody has contacted me.... they did receive my application because we had trackable mail and it was signed for on September 14th.

Hi bunny82, ours was received. 11th Sep. No news yet. Don't panic :) you are not alone

Ok kitty, good to know. It's very strange though as you are supposed to receive a letter stating they got your application within a month or less. I have seen people on here who sent theirs off in September and got BOTH the AOR and SA all at once and within literally less than 2 weeks. I wonder what's going on :( I am now afraid everything will be delayed since we are so late hearing anything.

Iknow what you mean, we will probably hear something this week, if not iguess we will have to call. Will you be calling tomorrow? My hubby is waiting till end of the week.

I was going to try calling tomorrow, yes. It just made my stomach turn when I seen people on here whose apps were received later than mine and they received both letters a while ago while I (and you) received none. I hope all is well and that they can actually help me on the phone. My spouse is from the US and I am sponsoring him. We are separated and trying to patiently wait until he can come here (to Canada).

I sent my package on September 1st, nothing coming back. No AOR no SA. I call three times, every agents told different things.

I'm a late July applicant and we got SA 1.5 months ago, but the Sponsorship part of our ECAS still shows In Process. Seems like they just forgot to update it - there have been updates to the PR part of ECAS, including changing to In Process and the addition of the "Medical results have been received" line. I wouldn't worry too much about the Sponsorship part of ECAS, since you've received the SA email.

I am sorry to hear. What did they tell you? I wonder what is going on.

First one, asked me to wait 1-2 weeks. Second one, said the vo need a bit more time to verify my documents. Third one, asked me to call back if I didn't hear anything after January 2nd.

Where does CIC say we're supposed to get our AOR within a month? First I've heard of this.

Which people? I don't recall anyone, let alone multiple people, getting SA in less than two weeks.
From what I've seen six weeks for AOR and two months for SA seems to be typical.

Not every VO sends an AOR2. Check with others with your VO to find out if yours sends it.

Ottawa, for example, does not send an AOR2.

I see. I wasn't aware about that. though we did not receive an AOR1

Hello Bunny. I feel you :'(. I was so paranoid back then when all other applicants got their AORs, while i had no idea the status of mine. We sent our application on September 2 and we did not get a letter nor the call center agents refused to give us an update until the processing times on the website states Sept 2 etc etc. Finally on November 5 the processing date change so the agent had no choice but to check our app. Finally we found out my husband was approved as sponsor and that the SA letter (not AOR) was sent via post mail. *though we were sure we indicated our email add.

Still we did not receive any letter via post-mail so we emailed cic and also ask them that if possible all updates can be sent via email. They then sent us our SA via email
and following all other updates such as AOR2 and Med Req.
