Hi everyone! I got my GCMS notes!

It seems I may just be waiting on medical. It previously said passed but now says not started. There is a note requesting my medicals be extended so maybe I'm just waiting on that...

Yes. It sounds as if your medical file is being reassessed for extension.

See the CIC's operational guide for the medical file guidelines. If your original medical exam is more than 12 months old and it is the only thing blocking your application, then the CIC agent will request that the file be re-checked to see if it still passes requirements. (What that check entails is a bit vague, but it sounds like a beancounter would look it over and see if there was any reason to suspect that you contracted TB in the intervening time)

If that extension is granted, then your file should be complete and ready for the COPR; if it is not then you will be asked to repeat the medical.

Ooh, I hope you're right!!! :) my medical was done end of July last year so not even a year old but I did see they requested a medical extension in the notes but there was no update on it.
That was April 27th. They asked for my CSQ May 5th and it was recorded into the system May 22nd. So the only thing I can think of that is holding everything up is an extension.

That link is very helpful!!! Thank you, Majromax!!!

HELP!

So today I got an email from cic apparently this is their 2nd request as the initial one was 13th may (never got an email or anything)

This is what they requested

> Stat Dec of Common-Law IMM5409: A signed and completed Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union form (IMM 5409) bearing original signatures Please re-submit this form dated, signed and notarized This must be received at this office by: 2015/08/09

> SPR's residency: Please provide proof of intent to resume residency in Canada. You must show proof you have taken necessary steps to establish yourself in Canada. This must be received at this office by: 2015/08/09

What does noratized mean? Who would be a good person to witness and what documentation should I supply to strengthen the application - only joint thing we have is a bank account that we used as savings, I can evidence helays me bill money etc

2nd part- is this for me to evidence as a sponsor? What information should I provide? I have a conversation with someone about a job, parents are drawing up a letter stating they will financially support us. I have emails from shipping companies aswell.

Any help is appreciated! I can't believe our app was picked up on the 13th may!!!

:)

Thanks for the response.

How many days CIC takes to return the passport? Is there any contact number to call them and confirm they received the passport?

Hope everyone gets the DM's Very soon.

Cazzy, it must be a relive that you finally heard something. Maybe that the first email ended up in the trash.
When you filled in the stat dec of common law you must go to a notary to get it notarized.

You have made some good suggestions for the sponsor residency.
I suggest you type out a detailed plan about your intention to move back to Canada with everything you suggested in your previous post!
CIC asked us the same thing. Still waiting...

a person authorized to perform certain legal formalities, especially to draw up or certify contracts, deeds, and other documents for use in other jurisdictions.

I am assuming you are in the UK? Please ignore if I am wrong. I found this website.

I hadn't checked ECAS for a couple of weeks but decided to check it on a whim a couple days ago and we got DM! Our application went In Process on June 29th, 2015, and when I checked on July 7th, 2015 it was already Decision Made.

It doesn't say on ECAS when the decision was made but I guess it was sometime between 6/29 and 7/7. I guess I'll have no way of knowing since I didn't check for so long!

Since my partner didn't receive a passport request (she is USA-ian) or an interview, can we assume that the decision was in our favour?

Now we are just waiting for the COPR in the mail. How long does it take to get from Canada to the US? We are waiting on pins and needles!

Here's hoping everyone who is still waiting gets DM soon!

Oh yeah, and yesterday (July 8th) I finally got my notes that were ordered on June 9th. Exactly 30 days including the requesting day and the delivery day. Nice. It's 35 pages of what looks like a database dump but it makes for interesting reading, especially the part where the agent summarizes our relationship proof into one paragraph. Mine says, among other things:

CATEGORY: FCC CASE ANALYSIS:

ELIGIBILITY:
- Foss check: No adverse information.
- Principal applicant Citizenship: United States. First common-law relationship.
- Sponsor: Canadian citizen. First common-law relationship. First sponsorship.
- Proof of funds and evidence that sponsor resides in Canada: No concerns.

RELATIONSHIP:
- Marital status: Common-law relationship. IMM5409-statutory declaration of common-law union form: Request.
- Development of relationship: (one sentence summary of where we met, when we began to date and when we began to live together)
- Proof of relationship: Joint billing(s). Joint apartment lease. Joint bank account. Email exchanges. Travel tickets. Outings photos. Gathering photos. Text message conversation log.
- Relationship appears to be genuine.
- Relationship appears to meet FCC definitions.

ADMISSIBILITY:
- Principal applicant Citizenship: United States
- Current medical status: Passed. Valid until 2015/09/13.
- Police certificates: -FBI: No reportable trace. -RCMP: No reportable trace.
- RPRF: Paid
- Copy of passport on File: Yes. Validity date: yyyy/mm/dd
- Passport photos: On file.
- R72.1 (2) conditional PR recommendation: Condition does not apply (in a common-law relationship since 2011/06/01, sponsor application received in 2014/09/25)

DOCUMENTATION TO REQUEST:
- Principal applicant: -IMM5409-statutory declaration of common-law union form

Elsewhere, it says:

ACTIVITY:
UCI: xxxxxxxx
Name: (Partner of Fizban)
Sub-Activity/Activity Type: Eligibility
Field Name: Sttus
New Value: Recommend Passed
Updated Date: 2015/05/26
Updated By: (Agent#)
Office: CPC-Ottawa

So it sounds like my partner was already "Recommended Passed" as of May 26th when we got a document request. The document request just delayed things by about a month and a half!

Congrats!!!! ;D It took a little less than two weeks for my husband to get his COPR and he lives in NY. From what I've gathered from this forum it's very rare that an application would be denied without contact from CIC requesting additional information/an interview. :) :)
