Question for Subbanator. Your profile says September 1st for application received but the spreadsheet says September 8th. Which is it? I'm the 9th so I am just curious.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!! Our time will come very soon! :)

Sending positive vibes we hear something very soon!!!

Thanks everyone! I don't know what day our status was changed to DM because we haven't checked our status in a month or so but randomly did today after reading that other people in this thread got DM recently.

Ah the 1st was a mistake. Our application status says:

"We received your application for permanent residence on September 8, 2014.

We started processing your application on April 24, 2015.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

thanks for the clear up! And congrats again!

It's almost disheartening seeing so many people around my date and even way after it get DM. Do you guys think the doc request really set us back? I'm kicking myself now bc I assumed Ottawa would have asked for the CSQ sooner if they needed it.

every office is different BUT in the end a decision will be made on all the applications. so, I wait too, although not very patiently, but I feel we are very close also to receiving a DM.

I wouldn't stress about it overly much. Less than 50% of September applicants on the spreadsheet have DM or are Landed, and it seems like this is the first time we've seen so much movement all at one time for Sept. folk. I can only guess, but I'd think you'd have been contacted by now if there were any problems. I'm going to cross my fingers and bet on next week for you. :)

thanks. I'm probably overthinking it too much. I try and help people on here in the meantime but I keep getting "minuses" so that just discourages me from posting here at all. So thanks for the positive post. I appreciated it :)
And congrats again on your DM! When do you plan on landing?

Yeah patience is not a virtue I have much of ;)

I've been in Canada, visiting, since November. Now it's just a matter of obsessively checking the mail for my COPR. As soon as that arrives, Husband and I will road trip down to the border. I might try calling whatever office it is here in Calgary and see what landing appointment times are like and doing that instead of flagpoling, but if they're anything longer than a week, we'll just drive to Montana.

Sorry people have been "minus-ing" you. Rating systems like the one here aren't flawless. I think, ultimately, they're a good indicator of the quality advice you'll get, but sometimes I'll see the most unhelpful, mean spirited posts by people with 400 billion "pluses".

Don't worry about overthinking things. It's natural. With all the stories of people's stuff getting lost, and all the bizarre obstacles people run into, it's easy to imagine the worst. I sometimes feel weird trying to reassure anyone, because we all know how stressful this process can be. But like I said, if anything, you're application status is "normal", seeing as how most of September is still only at Application/Medical Received. Odds are pretty good that its just a matter of time for you now.

Welcome to June :) Here's hoping all the good news and momentum of the last days of May keep on rolling! 8)
