I've been in Canada, visiting, since November. Now it's just a matter of obsessively checking the mail for my COPR. As soon as that arrives, Husband and I will road trip down to the border. I might try calling whatever office it is here in Calgary and see what landing appointment times are like and doing that instead of flagpoling, but if they're anything longer than a week, we'll just drive to Montana.
Sorry people have been "minus-ing" you. Rating systems like the one here aren't flawless. I think, ultimately, they're a good indicator of the quality advice you'll get, but sometimes I'll see the most unhelpful, mean spirited posts by people with 400 billion "pluses".
Don't worry about overthinking things. It's natural. With all the stories of people's stuff getting lost, and all the bizarre obstacles people run into, it's easy to imagine the worst. I sometimes feel weird trying to reassure anyone, because we all know how stressful this process can be. But like I said, if anything, you're application status is "normal", seeing as how most of September is still only at Application/Medical Received. Odds are pretty good that its just a matter of time for you now.
