You aren't alone with your feelings. I feel the exact same way. All these what if scenarios have been haunting not only while I am awake but also in my sleep. I haven nightmares about this.

I can't imagine having actual nightmares about all this. But I feel you. Thanks for confirming I'm not alone in being so worked up.

Leah, I haven't really looked in to it but I imagine your timeline may be a bit different than other provinces as you are an applicant that will be living in Quebec, and going somewhat by their process which seems a bit different than regular Canada.. Having said that I think you will be getting news soon 8)

From what others have said, Quebec doesn't seem to slow down the process. I haven't noticed one anyways. Mississauga actually technically slowed us down in the first stage when they filed us inland. Took us a few phone calls to the call centre before they finally were straight with us.
Ottawa did ask for my CSQ but I'm hoping since I sent it same day, that isn't the hold up...

I'd like to state that personally for my own state of mind getting DM this morning has helped as it's been a tough ride to wait out as you all know. But the anxiety is still there as it's still not over, and until it is I will not feel totally settled.. Today brings hope though and we feel very blessed! 8)

Exactly Maria! Until COPR shows up in the mail and checks out and has no mistakes or anything in it that will prolong the process once again, that is when I will finally feel the weight of all this start to dissipate.

Just hold tight Cazzy they seem to be all over the map with how they are working on files rather than by date of order for September. I'm sure you will hear something soon.

Thanks for the positivity! I have the extra stress right now of trying to do my extension. My laptop died in October so it's a bit difficult running about using my husband's family's computer and trying to find ways to scan this, resize this, etc. -_-

I have a question. Anybody who has gotten DM, have you also received an e-mail from CIC? We got DM perhaps weeks ago but no e-mail has showed up anywhere in either of our inboxes telling us what the decision is. Is that normal; do we just wait for our COPR to come in the mail now? I'm paranoid the decision was just "no!"

I am almost positive they don't email anything for DM. You should be getting your COPR soon! Congrats!

I called just now and I wanted to get her to open my file and re-affirm for me that the CSQ they requested was actually attached to my file.
I first asked if them giving me 45 days to send the document means they won't look at my file for 45 days or if they would continue working on it as soon as I sent the document. She said they continue working on it when they receive the additional documents.
Then I tried to ask if she can look to confirm the CSQ is attached to my file. She proceeded to ask how I mailed it in and she said if you had a tracking number... and I cut her off and told her yes, I know it arrived at their office but I would like to know for peace of mind that it is attached to my file since Ottawa is known to lose documents. She said they are not allowed to check that on the phone... wtf? Never had a problem with at least checking if something is there or missing before.

She didn't even ever ask for my UCI #. And they've always at least asked for that much....

No email for us just a DM on the UCI/Application # status . I believe that most people do not receive an email or anything, and you just have to wait in the dark yet again for COPR to show up in the mail and hopefully it's correct with no error's etc. It's actually a good thing to get DM and no contact from them, as that mostly means you're good to go and just need to wait for the COPR in your mail.. We were given 45 days to update some stuff with them a few weeks back and then got DM two days ago.. I don't think it necessarily means that they shelve your file for 45 days but then again all I can say is my experience so who know's overall? I would call again and see if you can get the information out of another agent.. Be very respectful and friendly is always the best chance I think (not that you weren't or anything of course, just sayin is all for your best outcome etc) ..

There should be more IP's and DM's soon here.. Our status has updated once not long ago on a weekend (Saturday) stating Medical Results Received, and then again it updated to DM sometime between 12:00am and 6:30am Tues morning.. Keep watching, checking, praying, hoping, and I will be doing the same 8) Seems it can update at anytime 24/7

Thanks. We did just get it in the mail but there is an error on it. It says my (sponsored person) marital status is married but we're common law. Time for more waiting for them to fix that/send a new one......
