Hello everyone :) We mailed off our package and it arrived on Wed Sept 24/2014 a day later than the post office said it would, and no one signed for it like it was required to be. We called Canada Post and they were able to see who signed for it and they are mailing us a copy of that info, yay! ?

They told me the same bull. No letter. Called to see if the letter was underway and they said that I had not requested a letter....?!??!?!!! Canada Post is a joke.

I always have had good dealings with CP till now. I mean this is the most important mail I have ever sent and can't imagine what to do if it got lost or something. And also you would think CIC would know that people would be very anxious to know if they had received our packages and give us an official mail to say so asap.. Anyhow we are hoping all will be okay, and now I sort of wish we had put all our info in one box as mentioned by others here.. We had three envelopes tied together with string and mailed it in a larger envelope to them.

Sent our application to CIC-M Sept 24 via Canada post. As per tracking, our package was delivered the next day.

Some times it takes a few days for the signature to appear on the tracking website.

Instead of using Express post there is always FED EX or UPS if you feel more comfortable.

Hi all - does the medical exam have to be upfront? My application is ready but my medical exam is scheduled for Oct 10th.

Thanks!

Yes you need to submit your medical (e-medical paper) along with your application.

Thanks for your quick reply!

My medical exam has been scheduled but before I was thinking about getting the medicals done when requested. Maybe its ok for inland, but not outland.

Some people have done it later, when requested, but others have had their applications returned as incomplete. I wouldn't risk it.

Really? Yes that's risky.

Thanks for your reply!

My advice would be to get it done - I had to retake some medical tests - if I had not submitted my medical at the time of application I would expect there to be significant delays.

I saw your posts. It looks like they checked your application within a week of receipt.

I'm in a rush because my police clearance was released on July 15th. It will be 3 months old by Oct 15. My medical test is on Oct 10th. It will be really close. I think I'll try to get my application in before Oct 15. I think CIC will ask me for a new police clearance.

The medicals are submitted electronically. Please someone correct me if I am wrong but just because they noticed that PF's needed to go back to the doctor for another Xray it doesn't mean that they actually looked at his application package yet. Because if that is the case I am assuming it would show up in ECAS as "processing" but I don't believe it does for PF. Please add to this if I am wrong PF :)...
