It is interesting how CIC is sticking to actual timeline of 12 months (looks doubtful now) for CEC applicants. 3 of my friends applied under FSW even though eligible for CEC in August and September last year, 2 have already got PR (landing process to be completed) and one got passport request yesterday :o.

I stuck with CEC stream thinking it is faster. Well just have to wait till things move ahead.. ::)

Hey Guys,

Does anyone have an idea or experience about updating your marital status while your CEC application is in process? I am sep 2014 applicant, I got married on 17th March 2015. I have sent an email updating about my marriage to cio-sydney-search email address along with copy of my marriage certificate and spouse's passport on 6th April 2015. So far not even single response from CIC about anything, any suggestions, advises would be greatly appreciated.

From a CIC email -

Police Certificates:
Please be advised that Police Certificates must be submitted as ORIGINAL documents, in their original PAPER format. We do not accept scanned copies. This document must be sent via postal or courier service to our office at the following address:

Case Processing Centre- Ottawa
219 Laurier Avenue West
7th Floor, Section B
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1

I emailed to both Sydney and Ottawa, got response within a couple days from Ottawa. They'd asked for various docs (even though I'd sent those before!). Too the email, I'd also add the passport#, email address and UCI# if there's one.

Sorry, cover letter for what? There should one email from CIC asking for PCC and one you'd have to write to ask for a PCC to your local DCP.

Hi aryaban, have you sent all those documents? by email or by mail? if by email, how did you sign those forms? did you printed them and send by scanned copy? And how do you deal with the prove of relationship? what documents have you provided? If sent by email, the attachment size is too big.

Sorry that asked so many questions. I am in the final stage to integrate all those documents, but not clear how should I send by email.

Thank you
