Really frustrated... One applicant from FSW ..same date of mine application... 8th Sept... And he got passport back with visa issued....

Hi aryaban, have you sent all those documents? by email or by mail? if by email, how did you sign those forms? did you printed them and send by scanned copy? And how do you deal with the prove of relationship? what documents have you provided? If sent by email, the attachment size is too big.

Sorry that asked so many questions. I am in the final stage to integrate all those documents, but not clear how should I send by email.

Hi,

Have you sent an email to CIC regarding marital status change ? CIC responds with all necessary steps to add your spouse to your application. There is nothing to worry about. They reply within 3-4 business days.

However, all documents have to be scanned and emailed to them; except original PCC of your spouse. They way I did is...filled the application, printed it, signed it and then scanned it again. I used an application as Camscanner (android). The application enhances the scanned copy for better viewing.

I have sent hardcopy of photos(4) and original PCC of my spouse to Ottawa. Though many have claimed that the scanned copy of the photograph also works fine.

I received an email from CIC a week later, stating that they have received all necessary documents and have to sit back and relax until any VO asks for more.

Thanks nhixon. Yes I have asked about a month ago. Now I got all the documents except FBI clearance for my spouse, which I don't expect it would return within this month. Anyways, what about proof of relationship? what have you provided?

In my case i will be sending my spouse PCC upfront as CIC has not asked for it. Ideally i should have included it in the package but i didnt have it then.
So when i send the hard copy to Ottawa, i think i need to include a cover letter as well. So i was just looking for a sample so that i dont miss any information there.

Sorry, cover letter for what? There should one email from CIC asking for PCC and one you'd have to write to ask for a PCC to your local DCP.

Hey guys, I have a question on PCC expiration:

My application reached to CIC on September 2. I've lived in three countries (Japan, US and Tanzania) for more than 6 months since the age of 18, excluding Canada of course, so I obtained PCCs from these countries and sent them in with my application. (FYI: I have only entered in the US for a few days, and haven't returned to the other two places since the PCCs have been issued.)

The thing is all the PCCs are dated with dates in the first or second week of July (I waited for them to come in mail till the end of July and had to wait for my IELTS results to come out.), so they all have one year expiration dates which is first or second week of July this year.

Now, looking at the timeline, we might not be getting MRs until the end of July or maybe later, so there is a good chance that my PCCs will expire before the MR. Since it takes a while to obtain these documents, should I be prepared to request another set of PCCs in near future? Has anyone seen any similar cases in the forum before to make an educated guess?

You can apply GCMS to check the status for PCC column. And then you can take the decision.

Yeah, I guess that's what I need to do. I just received one this week and Criminality section says "Started". I'll probably order another one at the end of next month or later.
